Any of you ever just packed a bag and left going no where in particular?

Here in the next couple days I'm planning to not plan a trip but haul arse somewhere.

I'm packing my bags and hopping on I10 for a couple weeks maybe a month.

This past Thursday I dropped off my last rent check of my lease and didn't renew. Been here 5 years. Been sorta looking at other places, shite I may actually move into a one bedroom across the street at Hibernia Tower. But I may not sign a lease until Dec 1st or so.

But yeah I have no obligations or responsibilities I can't take care of by correspondence. I bartend private parties for the most part and work when I want so that isn't an issue. Been going through a couple of things including a break up the last couple weeks that has my head all congested, so I think what I'm going to do is buy me a burner phone since I'll need a way to communicate while I'm on the road, but turn my phone off so no one can contact me. (But I'll bring it with me) and just hit I10 headed some direction with absolutely ZERO plan. I want to make sure I have no plan before I leave so that I can't tell anyone where I'm going.

I guess I'm telling you guys I'm leaving just to kinda get some pointers and maybe some ideas rolling around in my brain. I'm going to tell my mom that I'm going somewhere for a little while and to not worry when she can't get in touch with me, obviously so she doesn't worry, but besides that, I'll check my email/text/vmail when my Tacoma pulls back up in Nola.


Any pointers out there yall can throw at me? Anything from direction to go, to maybe books to read, places to camp.....


I know this past 6-8 months I haven't posted much on the OT and have mostly been on the MSB and Political board up until the last week or so, and will probably find my way back over in those play pins more often here soon, but I'll check back in with you guys and tell yall what stupid shite I got myself in.
