Just a heads up for all those interested in the upcoming truck. The build and price section is live on fords website.

I just built a lariat sport FX4 to the tune of $54,345 with no rebates noted (no surprise).

If I go back to a 1/2 ton, it'll be a Chevy so I can get a 6.2.

Saw a report on Jalopnik yesterday where the reporter said he managed 23 mpg out of the new 2.7 Eco motor. It was a crew cab truck and he had 4 people on board...but still...that seems quite underwhelming. The new trucks are 700 lbs lighter and the 2.7 seemed to be being positioned as the efficient motor...instead it's an over complicated entry level motor that barely beats the mpg of a modern V8.

That has to be msrp prices, the invoice prices leaked awhile back were almost 8-10k lower which is closer to what you can expect to be paying after negotiating.

Mpg numbers are supposed to be released in November.

The '15's look like the redheaded stepchild of a Ram and a Tundra. That front end looks exactly like the new Tundras. I cant believe Ford did this.

Buy a Ram 1500 4x4 Hemi. Best truck on the road for your money.
