What the hell would someone do with an old stolen dog?
Upon first reading it, I immediately started wondering if he's gonna get dumped in a dog fighting kennel for some training dog to mow down. Feel like I heard about that kind of stuff happening when the Mike Vick story hit the news... or is that just bullshite? :notAPitbullThread:

Not only did the burglars steal a $900 television, a $700 i-Pad and $1,000 in miscellaneous jewelry, they took something much more precious – the family’s blind, 11-year-old Boston Terrier, “Boomer.”
“He was in his crate and they took both the crate and the dog,” Curlette told Channel 2 Action News in an email.
“He has very severe cataracts and is completely blind,” Curlette said of Boomer. “He’s starting to go deaf, and oftentimes, he is disoriented.”

The blind and nearly deaf Boston Terrier, stolen during a DeKalb County burglary on Friday, is back home.
Channel 2 Action News reported early Tuesday that the 11-year-old dog was reunited with owner Ashley Curlette overnight.
The dog was dropped off safely outside a Decatur home, and that homeowner, having heard Booker’s story, contacted Curlette.

First of all, to understand what happened to Killer, you gotta understand who Killer the dog WAS. Now Killer was born to a three-legged bitch mother. And he was always ashamed of this, man. And then right after that, he's adopted by this man, Tito Liebowitz. He's a small-time gunrunner and, uh, rottweiler fight promoter. So he puts Killer into training, next thing you know Killer's GOOD! He is DAMN good! But then, he had the fight of his life. They pit him against his brother Nibbles. And Killer said, "No, man, that's my brother, I can't fight Nibbles!" And he made him fight anyway. And then Killer, Killed Nibbles. And Killer said, "That's it!" And he called off all his fights, and he started doing crack, and he ffffffff-FREAKED OUT. And then in a rage, he collapsed, and his heart... no longer beat. Wow.

You can make a few hundred on craigslist or more depending on breed, stealing purebreds is very common.
Doubt they checked for age, just saw a purebred in a kennel that was an easy grab.
Always get your dog chipped, vets will normally check for it on first visits.

What good is it paying a premium for an old, handicapped dog?

I'd be considerably more pissed about the ipad

that's just terrible. Old fella was just living out his last few days with his loved ones in peace. And since he is blind i cant imagine how disorientated and scared he is

Probably didn't look at it hard, they were in the process of stealing shite. Saw a purebred in an easy to grab case and just grabbed it.

Something like this is what I would imagine. Or they torture the dog for jollies. It doesn't look good.
I guess you could hold out hope that the robbers just thought that the dog looked cute, but I wouldn't put too much faith in that theory.

There are times when I wouldn't mind seeing some Arab justice. Don't waste prison space on this scum. Lop off the right hand and send them on there way.

That's awesome.
Honestly I think about someone breaking in and stealing our dog all the time. I don't care about all of our stuff...it can be replaced. Our little buddy cannot be.

I laughed... but I already know I'm going to hell if there is one.

Yeah, my golden has issues and he'd be horrified if someone took him (more likely he'd run out and be lost).

Much worse than the items of monetary value they stole IMO.
I have a tiny puppy in a kennel that could get stolen right now, but only if they could get past my 130 pound bullmastiff. I make sure to advertise her out front anytime I can because no burglar is dumb enough to go against guns, an alarm system, and a seemingly vicious and huge dog.
