culture bruh. LA has always been OK w drinking while driving. look at all the drive thru liquor stores/daquiri shops all over the state.

plus, it's a big money maker for the CJ system, so they get after it.

I've never had a DUI, but much like a huge portion of American adults, I've driven drunk. Dumb move, but oh well, I know I'm not a piece of shite.

I don't consider one a big deal, if I was an employer it wouldn't cause me to not hire someone. Multiple... yeah that's a problem.

Almost all the people from Louisiana that I know have a DUI or two. Or they have a story about the time they got out of the DUI.
