Maybe we will see more slants with Harris

He can zip the ball and you need that zip to make these passes. I also think a lot of the drops have been from wobbly passes from Jennings. If you've ever played football, you know it's easier to catch a ball that's not wobbling. I do believe Jennings has an arm, and can throw the ball hard, but his passes just don't look that great. It might seem like it doesn't matter, but it does.

Good post, but I'm down voting you because that's how we roll on the rant!!!11

Quick hitting passes are the only way this offense is going to improve. Even with the D loading the box the PA passes just aren't getting it done.
The only problem is Jennings has had some serious issues with accuracy on the short to intermediate throws.

Well, after a week of searching we finally pinpointed Jennings' problem...he throws "wobbly" passes.
1. There are some valid criticisms, but I haven't seen may wobbly passes
2. A pretty spiral means nothing if it's not on target. Ask #18 for the Broncos how tough it is to succeed throwing "wobbly" passes.

Short and quick passes help loosen up the Defense and get the QB into a rhythm. I hope Harris can make the throws. Jennings seems to sail the ball on across the field throws. We have speedy receivers, hopefully we can get some slants and crossing routes working with one of the QBs. That should open up the run game

Fitting a qquick pass into a tight window between a corner and safety or corner and LB requires an accurate arm and good timing. Are you sure that the starting QB meets that discription?

Me too, just not a strong one for throwing footballs.

Wasn't there an article about Jennings that said when he attempts to just sling it (like on a slant route) that he tends to sail it high? I seem to remember this being the reason why he has so much loft on his passes.

Makes too much sense - therefore "MORE TOSS DIVE"

We have thrown many quick passes to WR's the problem seems to be the quick pass is to the long side of the field and the ball seems to take forever to get to the WR giving plenty of time for the Defense to recover and make a play.

Not the current starting QB. Being able to throw the ball used to be in the criteria to be a starting QB...

You must not have been watching much.

Harris is a special talent. It may just be me, but I think Cam wants him to play an Les wants the more experienced quarterback. I also think that Jennings probably had many of the interceptions in the closed scrimmages due to sailed balls.

I actually don't recall seeing many slant passes....hm....I'm sure those are somewhere in the playbook

We have to run the ball this weekend to get our yards per carry stat up.
