Get ready for much of the same. All the talent on the field cannot help a team with a QB that has no idea how to nor the ability to play his position. QB is most important position in football but Les Miles cannot figure that out.

We get a replay of this year all over again...

Not the current starting QB. Being able to throw the ball used to be in the criteria to be a starting QB...

We had two 1,000 yard receivers for the first time last year right? I think that means we threw the ball a little more than usual. We are a running team but last year was the only time Miles has let us run a bit more complicated scheme and toss the ball around a bit.

Except last year, we have been seeing the same stuff on a consistent basis so doubt anyone expects us to come out and look like Oregon in the next week or 2

Short and quick passes help loosen up the Defense and get the QB into a rhythm. I hope Harris can make the throws. Jennings seems to sail the ball on across the field throws. We have speedy receivers, hopefully we can get some slants and crossing routes working with one of the QBs. That should open up the run game

The coaching staff and players might care about people leaving early but the university could give 2 shits...they got your money and that's all they care about. Its your choice if you choose to stay but why spend thousands on tickets to something you don't stay to watch? I understand if we are killing the other team or they are killing us but if you don't plan on watching and being a real fan then give up your seats

50% of 4th quarter touches after we are up 42-0 by beating an inferior team with our basic plays we always run. So by time he comes in we will just be handing the ball off and milking clock. That way both QBs are prepared for the gauntlet at Auburn and at Florida...two places we usually don't play well and get screwed by the referees. Les Miles idea of game planning...don't know why we lost but we looked good last week against New Mexico State at home and these plays worked against them
re: Does miles take over play calling in the red zone ?

and that's why we just lost to MSU...scoreboard did not reflect the arse whipping I saw last Sat night before Harris went off

not just in the red zone apparently...reason why we can't keep a Off. Cord. for a long time
re: does our offense even gameplan for other teams?
Posted by WorldsBest on 9/26/14 at 1:12 pm to Bert Macklin FBI
It certainly does not seem that they do. Miles has the same game plan no matter who we play, run the same plays until they work. I know running has been our strength but constantly putting your young QB's in 3rd and long situations is not a good scheme. If running plays are not working, passing plays will open up the run eventually. When we see 9 men in the box and still run the infamous quick pitch....well we all know how that has been turning out. Even incomplete passes DOWN the field will help open up the run game. Everybody in the country knows we will run the ball up the middle on 1st and 2nd and then try some little short screen or slant to convert 3rd down. If the simple minded fans can see this, I am quite sure opposing coaches are catching on. Real LSU fans support their team no matter what but we are tired of seeing this crap. We consistently have one of the most talented teams in the country but we underachieve. I know we have a young team but if we are going to lose can we at least go down swinging instead of running the ball and trying to play the field position game 24/7. In the past we have relied on our great defenses, but we have not had that type of dominance lately so there needs to be a better offensive gameplan. Who cares if Jennings or harris throw an int? I would rather see us actually trying to do something instead of being conservative and getting spanked.
