Lol, yes. That's a tad bit far considering I live in BR/Pville.

Be sure to look at St. James downtown. Great education and environment.

Someone mentioned if they had kids would send them to Episcopal.
About $18,000 a year. St. James kindergarten $5000.

LSU Lab School $4750. all grades. One of mine got in 3rd. grade after year of trying. They had an opening for girl. Had to be filled by a girl.

Been very pleased with quality of education. A little different from my public school education.

Donate a new playground for the kindergarten kids to play on at recess. Not just any jungle gym though. I'm talking like a 50 thousand dollar mega play set. That should do the trick

I highly recommend the lab school. Have two there now. Best all around education in BR. Especially for what you are paying in tuition.

My son was accepted to Lab school 2 weeks ago! We have no connections and didn't donate a $1. He is a future 5 star though!

It's a solid school, but not quite as good as the upper tier private schools in Baton Rouge or BR Magnet High (at the high school level). It's also pretty corrupt. you have to have serious connections to get in (be a coach's son, wealthy alumni, connected politician, or child of an LSU professor) or you have to really press your luck. Also, few kids who go to U High end up going to LSU and a large percentage go out of state to seek something different.

What a crock, stop spewing garbage you have no idea about. Now, I'll give it to you that the High School is not the BEST, but it's up there. It will be very hard to find any school that can exceed the level of the elementary school. Also, 70% of UHigh grads attend LSU, so stop regurgitating BS you've heard...

I have 2 kids there and have zero contacts.

Went there and graduated in the 80's. In 1983 or 1984 the tuition went way up and then went up steadily to it's current level. So you have a much different type of kid (and parents) than when I was a student and tuition was less than a thousand. My sister went there.

I played sports- they were Class A back then and yes one needed to excel in the athletic arena as well as academics to be amditted or a person needed political help. But not nearly as bad as today.

Part of me is happy I attended there and around 75-80% of my graduating class went to LSU. Part of me wishes I went somewhere else (to Baton Rouge High had they participated in major team sports). There exists a bubble that insulates the kids. I don't think its a good thing most of the time.
