There's no reason LSU should be in anyone's top 25 after being throttled by unranked Miss St. at home.

west virginia should be in the top 25. Best 2-2 team in the land
ETA: Add ECU and take out Duke and Penn State

Why would Wisconsin be there, but not LSU? We beat them and have the same record.
UCLA is still undefeated. Went into Texas and won with their backup QB.

I'm confused about all the ASU in the top 15. Has anyone actually looked at their schedule? They've played no one. In the next 3 weeks they have UCLA, @So.Cal, and then Stanford. I think we'll know by then how good they are.

I just can't have UCLA high after their current body of work. I'm aware they are undefeated. I'm aware of Mora, Hundley, Myles Jack and such.
But...I'm also looking at
UCLA - 28 Virginia - 20
UCLA - 42 Memphis - 35
UCLA - 20 Texas - 17
They are undefeated and I guess that's all that matters, but they won't be ranked about Mississippi, Mississippi State, Georgia, South Carolina, and Michigan State in my book. I guess we'll find out how good they are this Thursday as they are traveling down to Arizona State.

LSU lost at home to a top 15 team in my opinion. LSU isn't out just yet...

Penn State/Utah took their spot.

This seems to be a pretty weak year in college football.
Alabama and Oklahoma would be my top 2 teams.
Other teams in the top 15 are good teams but just don't impress me a ton - Auburn, ND, Baylor, Oregon.
No juggernauts this year.

True, but it's a great year for the playoff. No true number 1 team...all are beatable...it'll make the post season exciting.

Forgot FSU, they are #4 - Georgia is out.

no one knows how good this team is yet. If they were a named program they'd have received some bias in the bullshite preseason polls.

weak? The fact that there's no dominant team above the rest doesn't make it weak.
This season is going to be pretty wild.

They're a good team, however, their starting QB was injured the last game and will be out for some time. They'll be lucky to win one of these next 3 games.

I think Oregon is the best team in the country and survived their scare game Saturday.
Oklahoma is ahead of Alabama by a little.
Notre Dame is top 10
Baylor is not impressive to me.
Penn State is better than people think.
The fight between BYU and East Carolina just became easier as ECU big win just got diminished by Georgia Tech. I think BYU can go unbeaten and have a real complaint about being in the CFBP.
ETA: I think we are not looking for "best or most deserving team" but a national champ that has done what was asked of them to get a chance to play.
