You see that backup linebacker bring him down so easily in the open field late in game last night. A great back would have cut and left that guy grabbing air. He may very well become great but he's not close yet.

We need to accept that he's the best RB on our roster and give him more then 7 freaking carries.
He's not getting more carries till he learns how to pass protect.

I've seen many runs where a wiggle or cut would give him open field and he tries to run through or over the defender. I think he'll learn in time that what worked in HS isn't going to work in the SEC

This.
He had just 7 carries last night and is averaging less than 10 carries per game. Hes a true workhorse that gets better the more carries he gets. And he has the speed to score from anywhere on the field.
And hes still leading the team in YPC at 5.3. He was the only RB to be somewhat effective last night and had a 5.4ypc. Hilliard had a 3.3ypc and looked like the Kenny Hilliard we saw last year where he was somewhat soft and tentative.
Its a joke the way we use LF. We use him almost like a freaking change of pace back. Hes the most explosive RB on our team and its pretty obvious. Give the kid the fricking football. He needs AT LEAST 15 carries a game. Hard for anyone to get in a rhythm out there when we give them 2 carries, then he comes out for 2 series. The RB situation is brutal right now. We dont let any of them play long enough to get a rhythm out there. Its dumb And the people that think LF goes down too easy are retarted, he has broken the most tackles on our team.
And the people that arent impressed by him... wtf are yall watching? Its obvious hes our best RB. Les just needs to keep him in there and let him get in a groove out there. The more carries he gets, the more opportunies he has to break off those wow runs and wear down a D and control the game for us. When you get like 2 carries a quarter, its almost impossible to get into a rhythm and comfortable out there. And its dumb to say you arent impressed by him or dont think hes our best RB considering he gets 2 carries a quarter.
GIVE THE KID THE FOOTBALL

He's just average at this point. Nothing special. If he was a 3 star, nobody would be paying him any attention with his performance so far.

No hips and not fast in pads. I would make LF watch tape of #27 at bama, Fowler I think, now that's a big guy running pissed off!

Young. Needs coaching. Future greatness. Presently learning. He's going to be really good.

I'm watching LF without P&G glasses. He's quite ordinary. I've seen nothing that shows potential greatness.
I'm afraid you're one of those that has been hyping LF and can't admit to yourself that he's average.

He needs more carries/touches. He is solid. Time will tell if he'll be great.

If he were at Alabama where the coaching is better he would be a beast.

Not convinced of that just yet

Fournette has a good ypc average for a freshman (especially considering the lack of holes), but has trouble breaking one-on-one tackles at the line. Our O-line and play calling is not helping.
I thought he looked faster on Saturday on a few runs. He ran for 8 yards in the 2nd and picked up a first after Hilliard had picked up one on nice consecutive runs. Then we passed three straight times and had to punt. Some things just don't make sense.
I've heard about how he has great running stamina and could run all day (coming from our own coaches), yet he had zero carries in the 2nd half against State. One would think that would be the time to see if he can gash the D when they are a little tired. So it seems he's battling the defenders and our coaching at times.

Still does not get the most carries per game and often is not in the game when important situations are developing.
Just the facts:
LF has highest YPC for RBs
LF has longest run from scrimmage for RBs
LF has most runs of 20 yds or more on team
another frustrating thing is not using him as a pass receiver more. On one play last night AJ had LF as the outlet guy right over the middle about 10 yds up field. The play was supposed to go to a back shoulder to a WR and that is where he threw it and it went incomplete because it was either a bad pass or defended (don't remember right now). AJ did not check down and look at LF in the middle of the field with no defender closer than 20 yds in any direction up field. He has the talent to take a pass like that to the house...

Lulz. He is easily the best back on the team.

He's an average RB at this point and not a good return man at all. Don't understand why our coaches put him out there on returns. It's certainly not all his fault. The line has not blocked well but for all you idiots to say he's CLEARLY our best back are drinking the kool-aid. What games have you been watching to determine this? He's no better than Hilliard or Williams who honestly I think runs harder than fournette. Hopefully he'll live up to a fraction of the hype but he's the product of a different age of social media. People have this kid believing he's something special and throwing up some stupid bugs nation sign. I mean WTF is that anyway. Hopefully things get better for all of our players but my confidence in that is low with miles at the helm.

Not at all... I have even said people were overhyping him too much and he will never live up to those lofty expectations that some people had.
But he's still played really good and is our best RB. Saying he's quite ordinary is laughable. He's clearly the most explosive RB we have and our best RB overall. Ordinary... He's averaging a 5.3ypc, which is 2nd best out of all Freshman in the SEC behind Sony Michel, who has like 20 carries less than LF. His 5.3ypc is exactly what Hill had as a freshman, but was also a year older.
Some people had unrealistic expectations of him and he hasn't lived up to that, and that's fine. Those expectations shouldn't have been placed on him. But he's def more than ordinary and been really good for us.
It's laughable you think he's ordinary when he only gets 2 carries a quarter....
