Got me. I don't really care what people want to see, they are comfortable. Shorts are called shorts for a reason. A lot of guys walk around wearing capris, and call them shorts.

I had no idea what chacos were until I moved to Alabama. Why does every early twenties "Southern Gentlemen" wear those ugly things. And chicks actually dig this shite up here. I just don't understand.

They are actually really comfortable for hiking/water rafting etc...

Biker shorts are comfy as hell, but I sure as hell wouldn't wear 'em. Nobody wants to see that gay-arse shite, just like they don't want to see your "chubbies" shorty-shorts.
And actually, they're called "shorts" because they aren't full-length pants, not because they're supposed to be super-short.
