"Every single Republican in the US Senate voted against Equal pay for Equal work for Women. Unreal. " #equalpay
Thoughts?
War or Women campaign?
Does anyone really believe that republicans or any American would be against women earning the same as men?
We can not legislate earnings in a free market.
but always a good day to throw republicans under the bus I suppose .
lastly, I read recently that women are now the majority enrolled in College 65% women students versus 35% men student... Incredible flip over the last few decades.

If she wasn't a liar I might take her seriously.

From the lens she used, that's what it looked like I guess.
What it looks like to me is:
Every single Republican in the US Senate voted against 'one size fits all' laws interfering with people's freedom in running their own businesses.

Lying bitch.
Did she use that bullshite .77 number also (that has been debunked so many times I have lost count)?
Did she mention that Obama's White House and Congressional Dems pay their female staffers less that their male counterparts?
Of course not...Because "War on Women, " right?

THIS is the bullshite they wanted to do last week but the republicans made them debate changing the 1st amendment
Now it's gonna be all equal pay for women, free food for seniors, federally funded public transportation for illegals etc. to try and gain political ground for the midterms. Glad she's a new kind of politician that's gonna change Washington

What she conveniently leaves out is what's in the rest of the bill. I don't know what else is in the bill but it wasn't a stand alone bill for equal pay. There's even a very good possibility that it was a set-up bill; the Dems added other BS to it so the Rep would HAVE TO vote it down.

Equal pay for equal work is already the law of the land and has been for 50 years.
And I wouldn't be surprised if every Democrat in the US Senate is violating that law, including Warren herself.

What's sad is, people are actually going to believe this crap.

So when Rex starts campaigning for her in 2016, can I count on you to auto downvote?

Men are 10x more likely to be killed on the worksite than women. Men are more likely to work in fields with higher pay. Women need to start taking risks and making decisions that warrants equal pay.

She'll never make it but yeah.

The war on women is bullshite.
Most women can't physically do the things that the men can. I work in an office and I don't know what everyone makes, but I do know that when heavy things need to be moved, the men do it. I'm not using that as an excuse for unequal pay, it's just that men can do more physically than women.
I've never seen the breakdown of the jobs that they say that women make less at. Is it the same exact jobs? Or is it an across the board stat?
And like I've said many times before...women working in the White House make around 30% less than the men do. They should start there and set an example.

I agree with your post, and don't get mad, but this is not the correct usage of the phrase.

They usually say women with college degrees make 75cents on the dollar to what men make. Someone looked into the claim and found out that it is true, but easily explained by the differences in fields and the fact that men are more likely to work overtime, not take paternity leave, and be the ones who travel. When you look at the same field and the same working conditions women make 99cents to the dollar so basically the same.
