Loaded the Yeti on Friday morning with ice and beer.
Tailgated all day Saturday before and after game, periodically adding beer.

Emptied it out yesterday at 1PM.

So, it's like a regular ice chest basically?

So you come here to complain about not having ice after using it as a beer ice chest for 4 days?

That is fairly unimpressive. I have an igloo that does way better.

Would have gotten one more day out of the ice if you had pre-cooled that Yeti with liquid nitrogen...at night with a full moon.

Something else to stir the pot, the Yeti soft side:

quote:

YETI’s are known for being indestructible and keeping things cold. And the Hopper 30 is no exception. It’s the first 100% leakproof portable cooler that’s built for the long haul and is insulated to keep ice for days. It’s reliable. It’s convenient. Easy to carry and designed for those on the go. It’s well-suited for a weekend at the ranch, a BYOB dinner at the Salt Lick, 18 holes on the golf course, or a day on the water. Not your ordinary soft-sided cooler. And like all YETI products, built for the wild.

First off I get it!!

But really who wants to drink 50 degree beer. That being the case I'll stick to my Igloo.

Also..Coleman coolers suck. Put a $20 Coleman and a $20 Igloo side by side in the back of a truck, fill them with ice. Colemen will not make the day.

Well that's one way to ruin an overpriced ice chest.

I have that same size. It is worthless. If you put enough ice to keep everything cold, you can have a 12 pack in it...if you fill it up it has like 5 lbs of ice. If it is hot when you put 5 punds in, it is melted before your beer gets below 60 degrees.

Either the great big one, or the little one have a decent use. The mid size are worthless.

I only like it for one reason, it doesn't slide around in a boat, or a truck, or a UTV. So it isn't actually worthless.

Yeti is by all means a high quality ice chest.

But, if you bought a Yeti because it is a high quality ice chest, your priorities are wrong.

That's like buying a Rolex because it keeps good time.

That's fricked up. I've had 5 day Coleman's keep ice better than that and I'm serious.
