I can't stand Gary Danielson and Verne Lundquist on CBS. We should have thought about this years ago.

Their voices have become staples in sec football.
I can't imagine a lsu/bama or lsu/florida game without them.

GD is the best in the business. Verne is terrible.

I like Danielson, he knows his stuff.
Too bad he's paired up with Verne. Sometimes I wish Gary would "accidentally" unplug Verne's mic.

Petitions don't do shite and Gary Danielson is one of the best in the business. I don't know how anyone can complain about a guy who does more homework than any other color guy in the NCAA.

never understood the hate for Danielson. The guy is the best color analyst in the game. He sees everything immediately - which I guess comes from his years as an NFL QB. He gives us actual analysis, unlike most other color commentators who just repeat in words what they see on the screen.
How can you not like Verne? True, he makes some mistakes, but who cares?

I don't mind them, there are a lot worse announcers and "experts" out there. GD is about as good as they come, very knowledgeable and doesn't tend to show favoritism. VL tends to hate on LSU more than others, but then again it may be my perception. He has been around a long time, and his age is starting to show, i.e. our very own JH on the radio side...
But we haven't been chosen to be on CBS yet, thank God...I hate 230 games in Tiger Stadium...too hot, too early, and the crowd doesn't seem to get into it as much due to lack of alcohol poisoning...
