Nah. OU was the better team that night. There was no excuse. It was the Sugar Bowl, for Pete's sake.

This. Bama lost to like Utah or somebody in very similar fashion in the Sugar Bowl as well - they just DGAS when they're teed up for the BCS title game and then get dealt a setback.

Gee, where did they find the motivation to destroy michigan state in the lowly capital one bowl a few years ago?

OUs shite schedule and 1 win over a ranked team and no conference championship shouldn't give them a spot vs a 1 loss sec team that's played probably 5-6

And to the OU guy who doesn't think bama was hungover and motivated, you are high. They were one play from playing for the national title and then had to hear about the worst loss ever for a month. They play 10 times bama wins 7 or 8

at WVU is probably a little more difficult than expected

This will be a tough game next week, traveling all the way to Morgantown. Can't wait to see the line tomorrow, I'll take WVU and the points on anything over 10.

Seriously? Because they weren't a heartbeat away from playing for the championship that year so there wasn't the motivational hangover.

I'm an LSU alum and I hate Bama. But they weren't at that Sugar Bowl, bro. You Utah'd them.

I actually think OU is the best team this year. No glaring weaknesses.

Wait to a 1 loss SEC team should get in over an undefeated P5 team from the Big 12? SEC homer alert. No need to have a championship game when you play every team in the conference. What is the point of a rematch? You can't hide from teams like you can in the SEC.

Could have sworn Louisville lost after a thread like this not long ago.

I see his point though. OU plays freaking nobody this year. LSU or Alabama or Auburn or TA&M have at least 3 times as many "losable" games as OU has.

OU is a legit top 10 team though. Louisville is not.

I will be surprised if OU does not open up as a double digit favorite.

No they weren't

And for all the hangover talk, Alabama went out and score do the first possession and were up 7-0

I thought that, but isn't OkieLite a very young team? That's a tall order for a young team.

The only angle Oklahoma State has is that OU came out and beat them at OK State last season and cost them the Big 12 title. So the revenge factor will be strong. Other than that, its all OU.

OU will do what they always do: play easy teams, in an easy conference and win easy games.

Win they face an actual opponent they'll get their butts handed to them.

Oh and Baylor will smoke them.

Didn't you get the memo? Bama only beats themselves or loses when they're not motivated, everyone knows this
