What if we try to split off into pairs for the game

Finding 3 pairs would likely be very hard if not impossible on game day.

$400 is the going price now and it will not get cheaper. I could see it getting closer to $600 or higher at the minimum on game day. I was offered $1,000 per ticket for a FLA game in 07. I could see them getting that high.

Because this is a first time, one time experience fork over the cash and get lower seats. Much better stadium experience.

That's what I was worried about. Should we try to buy them ahead of time on StubHub, or do you think it's smarter to buy some the day of the game?

Yes. Buy them ASAP.

That's assuming both teams haven't lost. I don't think we look like the 2007 worldbeaters. But yeah, if nobody has lost, you'll be emptying the piggy bank

Try the ticket exchange board below. There's already a few people selling Alabama tickets

Already been said a bunch of times, but if you wear your school gear - especially if there's big group of y'all all wearing it - and explain to folks that y'all just came down to experience a big time SEC game in general, and LSU tailgaiting specifically, you'll literally have different folks/tailgates "competing" with each other to see who can show y'all the best time - and I'm not even kidding. LSU folks take tailgaiting very seriously. It's really almost gotten to the competitive stage, with one group trying to outdo the next. When you couple folks who are very proud of their efforts and culinary skills with the general hospitality of our culture, it turns into a visitor's dream.

As a poster above said, if both are undefeated, it'll be real tough to get in, but the odds of that are certainly not probable.

True enough. But the scarcity of tickets will depend on more than this. If one of the teams is undefeated and the other has a single loss, pr even if one is undefeated and the other has a chance to play spoiler, it will be a tough ticket. Or if both have a single loss, the odds that the game will be meaningful are still fairly high. It's a gamble to wait. If it were a single ticket, or even 2, it might be worth it. If you're looking to try to put a group together in proximity to one another, buy early and often.

You mite try the bama ticket office, too, & if none available, ask for their suggestions as to where to look.. but either way, you need to try & get them asap. Tickets sold outside the stadium, regardless of the season for either team, will not be cheap & almost impossible to get that many together. Game time should be prime time, so plan on getting out there early, and for that game, 8:00 am is not early. No glasses allowed for drinking and walking around, but otherwise, you can drink as you walk, no problem. I personally like StubHub as they are the most reliable and trustworthy. Repeat: get there early & you'll be able to eat & drink all you can handle & then some.

As long as you're not in Bama gear and you'll be shown a good time.

I'd buy tickets in advance, if it were me.

I've been shown a good time every time I'm in Baton Rouge. Whether it be dressed in bama gear for gameday or dressed in nothing at all. Lsu wimmenz

You will probably not be able to get a ticket on campus for under $800 a piece if you are even able to find one IMO.

Yea that's pretty comical. I found 3 together for 100 a piece in 2010

OP, you couldn't have picked a better first trip to TS. First time playing bama in the expanded stadium, likely night kickoff, it's going to be a hell of a party before a hell of a war.

Since you're coming from so far away, I'd go the Stubhub / Ticket Exchange route. Right now you can get tickets for around $300 a piece but they're in the upper decks. However, for that game those probably won't be bad seats because the stadium will be PACKED. One year I got tickets on Stubhub for around $300 a piece and my sets were in the lower bowl in the corner of the end zone. Those are still good seats if you can find them..............and that game was the 2009 contest vs Florida in Tebow's senior year.

Like it has been said before you can definitely and should go up to other tailgates. I'm with the crowd that is saying to wear your bowling green colors. That way people will go even more out of their way to make you love it down here.

When it comes to buying tickets, if you split into pairs you can likely find tickets for cheaper than $400 per. I've scalped at other SEC stadiums for big games and tickets varied between $150 - $250.

Lastly, if you can try to sit near the north endzone. That is where the students sit and will be bumping for that game.

Hope you have a great trip down and Geaux Tigers

And listen to the Scott van Pelt description of the last Lsu / Bama gameday atmosphere in Baton Rouge, he was blown away.

You can get tickets outside the stadium. For 2007 Florida we got 7 tickets outside the stadium for no more than $150 each. Though not all of the tickets were in the same section. The trick is to wait until the gates open. That's when people start getting rid of tickets right outside the stadium. I did the same thing at the 2009 Florida game. Got two tickets together lower bowl 35 yard line for $100 each.
