Is this squat rack any good?

Rogue power racks are too big and expensive. Will this be good enough for squats and overhead press? I don't really do a wide variety of exercises. Only thing I'll be missing from having a full power rack is doing pull ups.

Rogue makes a normal squat rack like that

I only use the one at our gym for barbell curls but that looks like it would work just fine.

no. you want a power rack with four upright standing bars and safety bars going across on each side.

Squatting 160?
Bro, do you even lift.

If I ever get a home squat rack it will definitely have some of those. I've attempted "one more" too many times and had to leave the weight on those safety bars and crawl out from under it to ever do a squat without them available...especially if I'm increasing weight like I was with strong lifts.

Looks like you could build one of those pretty easily using some unistrut

Man I'd love to have one of those at my house.

If you get a squat stand instead of a power rack, make sure you get bumper weights so that you can bail a missed squat. Actually, get bumper plates no matter what, they are just better.

I built a power rack from 2x6's and iron pipe to fit my space for not that much. Look around and there are plans online.
