Just watched it. Not bad. The beginning with Kevin at the combine was fricking awful, but it rebounded well after that. I just hate that they're still cramming players into it. So Ted was BFFs with Cameron Jordan, Jordan Cameron, and JJ Watt. Riiiight.

Taco was horrible as usual (he actually played golf ambidextrously though ). I liked the draft, and the TeflAndre thing could be pretty great this season. Jenny looking good as usual. I have a feeling Ruxin being in 12 leagues will get tiresome.

Taco is one of the reasons I stopped watching as much, still haven't finished last season.

Taco fricking sucks. He was so much better when his parts were minimal. The golf thing was stupid.

'I couldn't help it, I got a roster boner.'

'With that shitty lineup?'

he ruins almost every scene for me. The writers try so hard to make him this hilarious, quirky, affable baffoon but it comes off as wayyyy too forced.

JL's original youtube stuff is actually funny

Is everything about this show forced now?

It's almost painful to watch

Well a big problem is that the guys playing Taco and Kevin are really really bad actors.

show has gotten a lil tired. it has peaked.

Rafi is my favorite character. But over the past couple of years they keep doing stupid shite with him.

the show was great when they were talking trash about each other, and otherwise being normal people. Ruxin's wife needs more arse shots too.

I agree they need to calm down on the guest appearences by NFL stars.

yes and yes

i think the only chuckle last night was when ruxin said "12", and i'm ashamed for having that gut reaction

also, i felt the raffi-randy episode was awesome. it was just over the top frickery. i am the biggest "raffi in small doses" guy, but that's for normal episodes. that one single one was just so out there, i'll allow it. it was a change of pace for how shitty this show has become and i enjoyed that change of pace

I stopped watching The League a while back. The scene where they were all in the delivery room was so over the top dumb that I quit watching right there and then.

It was funny the first year but, like a lot of sitcoms, the actors seem to get too full of themselves and ruin it. Its just not funny any longer.

yeah

the most extreme the show should get is the sexual exploits...like kevin's insecurity about jenny's #s

the great jokes/setups are the personal issues...the most notable i can think of off top was when kevin/jenny were being criticized by their daughter's teacher for basically being shitty aggro, shite-talking parents. that kind of meta joke is great

well most shows should only go 2-3 years. what happens with american shows is they get a good idea, do one season, and hope it gets renewed. once that happens, there is no plan. and they just take what led to renewal and drive that into the ground while hitting that constantly

if this show had been planned around a 3 year arc, i bet it could have maintained what was good with an overall direction, leading to a legitimate climax. but that's not how most shows in the US are done. we love to "office"-ize shows

because networks enjoy making money and sponsers + syndication is what does it

in the UK, shows aren't made for sponsers
