I posted this in the Morning Glory police activity thread but it is worth it's own discussion.
A Baton Rouge police officer who stopped a driver for suspected drunken driving early Sunday shot and wounded the motorist after he tried to disarm the officer, police said.
The shooting happened just after 1 a.m. in the 3200 block of Morning Glory Avenue, Cpl. Don Coppola Jr. said in a news release.
The wounded man, whose name was not released, is in critical condition at a local hospital, Coppola said.
The release says the officer tried to arrest the 27-year-old man for suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
“The suspect resisted arrest and a physical altercation ensued against the officer,” the release says. “The suspect then attempted to disarm the officer of his duty weapon while also threatening his life. The officer, while fearing for his life, was able to draw his weapon and fired multiple shots which struck the suspect incapacitating him.”

During the struggle he probably brushed against his weapon

I am hoping they analyze the officers weapon and have the suspects DNA on it or have video. You need something besides "ummmmm, he tried to grab my gun."

Brb going to get my list of excuses to play victim.

If he truly decided to attempt to disarm him, and it was a struggle, he elevated the situation and the cop had to respond.

I don't think that's how DNA work.
Scruffy may know... Scruffy, will simply touching an object leave DNA?

It's really pretty easy to figure out. They don't want to go to jail
