I bought a car from a private seller in Houston last week and went through the checkpoint from Lafayette to pick it up today. Very efficient. State trooper asked where I was going, i told him Houston and coming back to Louisiana today and he said come on through, no paperwork or anything.

I imagine it’s a bigger issue for Texans who have been abroad and are trying to come back.

why's it "critical" when the King Air 350 has better performance than most single engine planes? Just learned this today.

A propeller produces more thrust on the downswing side. Look at this picture it may help you understand when one is the "critical engine"

The down swinging blade on the right engine is further from the centerline of the airplane creating a greater yawing moment vs the left.

I thought it was controlled by blade pitch on those? Can't that be trimmed out while the throttles are still connected? I honestly am just thinking there could be better engineering than to always have 2 engines deferentially controlled by default once in the air.

As Geauxxx said there are a lot of reasons. Engine fire in flight and the need to intentionally shut one down to prevent burning the wing off. Critical loss of oil pressure on one engine, you would retard or shutdown that engine to prevent catastrophic failure. Bleed air leak etc.

I'd be very surprised if that wait time estimate is actually true

how does that work with your local FFL. You buy and pay for the can, they get it shipped to them and hold it until your stamp comes in? Or, do you order it and wait until stamp comes in for it to actually get shipped and paid for?

You buy it and they hold it until the stamp comes in. Some dealers have what you want in stock which saves a minuscule amount of time having to order one and have it shipped to them before you can complete paperwork for it. Current wait times are close to a year, so ordering one vs. buying one in stock doesn't change a whole lot.

Is the only advantage of the trust that more people can use or possess the suppressor? I would want my son to be able to have it down the road but he's just a toddler right now.

Basically. But I believe it to be a big advantage. I like knowing that in the event of an untimely death on my part, these treasures have a succession plan. I have 4 stamps total and with the three members in our trust, there are 16 stamps total. This also makes outfitting for trips nice, as we can share or transport each others NFA items.

Biggest disadvantage is with the new legislation, we all 3 have to get fingerprinted when 1 person wants another suppressor. Not the worst thing ever.

Fine, but why wait a whole month after Deer season? I have at least 10 hogs per 1 deer. Those SOB's need to be taken out. Then it gets too hot and the mosquitoes get too bad to hunt. Let me hunt in February. It's not public land anyway.

I just turned in our club's outlaw quad night take application. It is somewhat annoying, but hoping I get it back approved asap. I made my first thermal hog kill (during the day) two weeks ago and am itching to hit them at night. This was the 6th pig I've killed in just a few outings this season. I am averaging 1 pig kill to every 2 hunts in Winn Parish. They have gone nocturnal now so we've got to keep the pressure on at night.

Me and my two exes and my current gf share a google calendar. It's great for us with email/text reminders and such. It's Free.

Outlook is more robust and professional but you'll need to pay for licenses.

Wait. What?

Underconfident crew members can be dangerous too as seen in the Blackhawk crash. No one else voiced their concerns about the poor weather conditions.

re: OWB - Conceal Carry

Here's what I carry. The 43 conceals great and is my go to as of late. It is easily concealed appendix under a T-shirt. The 19 conceals easy in the same position. Winter carry - I like have it OWB at 3 o'clock under a jacket too. I made these holsters myself but there are plenty of good guys in the kydex game right now to choose from. Phlster, Trex Arms, Armadillo Concealment to name a few.

re: Need Mud Tires

I really liked the BFG KM2's I had on my DD avalanche a while ago. Now I run the BFG A/T KO2 on my Z71 Suburban and like them a lot too. a little more docile on the road. But the KM2's were a great riding tire on and offroad and lasted me 45-50k miles.

I purchased from 4wheelparts.com and bought the tire warranty on them. I think ts was like $20-25 a tire - no questions asked warranty. I took a nail in a sidewall corner that couldnt be plugged or patched and cashed in on it. They send you a new tire. Worth it in my opinion
I wonder when the tactical paracord anti-domestic abuse mount will be available to the public.
Started in Business Marketing at LSU then transferred and switched to Aeronautical Science. Great decision.

Need some opinions. Moving my 9" KMR to my 10.3" DD MK18 upper once I sell the quad rail. I will need something for my 8.5" blackout. I like this SLR MLOK handguard a lot. Do yall think 8" will be cutting it too close with a can?

I do not think it will fit. I just installed the 7" intrepid on my 8.5" today. There is less than half an inch between the rail and suppressor. I'm liking this setup though. Very handy with the PDW stock.

I heard on the radio the other day that Sprite has been proven to be the best drink for a hangover. I personally, haven't found it to be true. I do agree with sweating it out though. I got in my yard the other day after a real bad one. Thought I was going to die during the activity but when I was done, a cold shower and a ton of gatorade and I was feeling better.

re: A/T Tires, recommendations?

Another vote for the KO2's. have the 285/65/18's on my Z71 Suburban. I haven't had them on more than 5,000 miles but so far so I like them a lot. They ride real nice but look more aggressive than most other A/T's imo.
I think that's actually just a picture of Lady Gaga
