i never thought about that, but you're right.

the UW staff didn't trust him to pass block, so pretty easy to key on him when he's the lone set back.

I read that OC Andy Ludwig will use him and Clement together on the field. now that, I like

you've gotta be trying to yank our chain, brah

Wisconsin and "Bama were tied with the most 1st round OL's drafted over the last 5years going into this year.

5 starters from the 2011 team were drafted

we probably give up more sacks than we should. but hell we got a qb back there that is as mobile as an EZ boy recliner

is he can't control who we play. Is he supposed to fall down after a 10 yard gain against umass?

You weren't here last week I assume when your brethren were spotting off that the drop off in production against Ohio State was simply because you deserted the run as you were behind.... which is complete unadultered bullshite.

10 Wisky snaps in 3rd quarter - 8 rush, 2 pass. First six in 4th (first 10 minutes) 4 rush and 2 pass. Then in the last 5 minutes, Stave through about 15 passes.

Simply put, no one is questioning his ability to slam the children of the poor, it is the excuses for his lesser performances that are comical.

Dude had slightly more carries then White over 6 games. Back half, due in part to his piss poor pass protection and lack of a receiving threat and the overall drop in production - he took 5 less carries a game then white.

The drop in production is self evident -4 of the last 5 games were sub 100.

Nevermind you lost the best route runner in the country and a decent TE... the only non shite component of your pass game.

you're right--the post asked is if he is as good "as they say"…I'm saying he's very good.

a)Melvin didn't play most of second half vs ohio st. none of the 4th quarter due to injury. typically, teams with power running games do better in second half as defense is worn down.

b)what's the excuse for LSU's mighty defense getting Bo Wallace's balls rubbed on their face???

Super young secondary and Bro Wallace is the best returning QB in the SEC? That same defense shut down Johnny Manziel and held A&M to 10 points.

He had six of the 8 rushes in the 3rd quarter including the last play of the quarter. Not sure what the definition of 'most' is in your universe ....

Which would explain why you ran 80% of the time in the 3rd quarter (and still failed)

I don't make excuses. It is what it is. I will save the excuses for you like above.

And yes Gordon is very good. But he faded in the second half of the season when the jet sweep gimmick got figured. He couldn't pass block for the life of himself and given he has 3 career receptions was not considered worthy of participation in that part of the game.

Now is your cue to roll out the next wave of excuses:

You badgers are out of control with the vulgarity, Bo Wallace's balls, they are small testicles, have some common courtesy

Melvin Gordon is a very good running back, but if their safey/quarterback can't move the ball with his arm, they're fricked.

6 carries in a half for 1600 yard rusher? that is not playing "most of the half"

that has been my point all along…given how bad our QB was/is and the lack of playmakers at WR, the dude going for 1600 yards and 8 yards per carry---while splitting time with another back-- is amazing.

6 out of 8 carries in the third quarter (60% of the plays were runs with him) most certainly constitutes him playing the entire third quarter. Hell, in the first 25 minutes of the second half you only had 16 offensive snaps (because you suck but that is another matter)... so yes please keep up the excuses.

Very good? Yes. But putting up over 100 against the likes of Mass, Tenn Tech, Purdue, NW, Illinois and Indiana can never be constituted as 'amazing', particularly in light of 74,62,69, and 91 against OSU, Iowa, Minny and PSU. Amazing? Cmon.
