Anybody that can't laugh at themselves is a douche in my opinion. Coach Miles is awesome!

Is this where you praise Miles and LSU, but when the season starts you go back to flaming?

Does Saban do any light-hearted stuff over in your neck of the woods?

He didn't really do any of that here, but was wondering if he's 'loosened up' any since then.

Scoop, you are my favorite Bama poster but your schizophrenia starts to come out as the season builds to the LSU-Bama game. You will be on here flaming before September is over.

Miles is one in a million. He never sweats. Just gets better every year and plunges along. One tough SOB. The guy cant bend down and grab a piece of grass and not be national news. He just rolls with whatever happens in stride. This cat is just different. He is the most genuine, big time coach out there imo.

U can criticize his game day mgt and his speaking with the media, but its pretty tough not to like whats left over, after that.

Of course he gets zero credit for some of the greatest calls in LSU history, but unfortunately he has made some of the worst as well.

He also gets zero credit for "building" the OSU program, but he doesnt give 1 iota about anything outside the LSU complex, when it comes to his football team.

I wouldnt trade him for anyone.

If someone does not like him who would they replace him with??

There are good coaches out there but I cannot think of one I would trade for!!

I do not know the answer to that question.

While I don't know him personally, and have formed my opinion of him strictly from what I've seen on television and read in various places, he's as likeable a guy as I've ever "known" - again, to the extent I know him.

While you didn't ask, but in case you're interested, my opinion of his overall coaching performance is about the same as my opinion on his "likeability". Although it was formed differently - by seeing the actual results, instead of hearsay. I can't think of another acting coach I'd rather have leading this program. Even though he's screwed up some clock management, has at times, been too slow to react to obviously needed changes, and has benched/started players inconsistently with their on field performance, he wins. A lot. More than any coach we've ever had. While he's winning, the program just has a "feel" of stability, consistency, and soundness. It's hard to describe really. As a lifelong fan though, the program's never "felt" like this to me. That's all CLM's doing.
