yea, come at me you fricking nerds
Yea 1997 had some good stuff, yea it was funky, yea it had some amazing type II stuff thrown in there
But come on. Every single show from 2009 Disco Biscuits tour is worth listening to. Every single one.
The consistency to have shows where 90% of the whole show is improv, and all of it is good. I mean 75% of Phish sets are just the same lame Phish songs over and over again. Yea that Tweezer in the second set is awesome, but I had to listen to fricking Sparkle and Bouncing Around the Room and Sample in a Jar first to even get to it. lol.
And yea, they were good in '97, but epic jams every show? No way. Too inconsistent, even in 1997. I challenge you to find a Disco Biscuits show that doesn't have atleast 2-3 great jams in it from '09. Good luck.
So yea, deal with it ladies, '09 Biscuits is better than '97 Phish

it's really not up for debate.
Probably the reason that I am such a huge fan today is that I was on tour with the biscuits when they came south in 08 and 09 and those are the best jam band concerts I've ever seen.

I've went on a couple Jam cruises 7-8 years ago. After 30 min of DB, me and my wife went to the room to frick. Just not for me, I guess.
