I think Fournette ends up being more involved in the passing game, and winds up with a metric shyt ton of yardage. I have no clue who gets the most carries, though...

Go back and watch the Spring Game and pay attention to Magee and Hilliard running the ball. They did not look good running the ball imo. Maybe that was because of the blocking, vanilla playcalling, etc, but after I watched that game, I began thinking we were going to NEED Fournette this year.

Maybe things have changed during Fall Camp. I know Miles has heaped praise on both Magee and Hilliard this Fall. I think that may be his way of dialing back expectations on Fournette after calling him Michael Jordan, etc. I'm also just waiting to see it on Hilliard. He's had his flashes at times, but he just looks too slow hitting the hole to me. Maybe he puts it all together but I'll believe it when I see it.

Look at our carries for RB last year:

Hill - 203
Magee - 86
Blue - 71
Hilliard - 68
Copeland - 13

I think all three backs see significant carries this year, but I expect Fournette to take over the job by midseason a la J.Hill in 2012 and finish somewhere around 185 carries.

Here's how I think it will break down this year:

Fournette - 185
McGee - 125
Hilliard - 85
Williams - 30

Geaux Tigers.

People gonna be fricking mad when Williams comes in instead of LF. No different then how blue came in his freshmen year instead of Ford or Ware. Can't wait to see the meltdown LOL.

Yeah it would be very different.

Also Blue was never better than Ford or Ware and fumbled within like his first 15 carries

This is Hilliard and Magee's "money year" as they say. They are going to run hard every chance they get. LSU will be ok whomever is in the backfield. We will go 2011 style and wear teams down using everyone, so every back will have his time to shine.

What might be a big disadvantage to Hilliard over the rest is that he's less of a passing option once the defenses stack the box.

I think HIlliards biggest problem is that he is a rhythm running back and needs to be fed the ball to get going. Hill you could just hand it to him whenever and he would go.

Everyone doesn't. However it would not be surprising if LF wound up the season with the most carries. In three seasons, neither Magee or Hilliard have shown the ability to be a 20 carry per game type of back. Not saying they can't but it's yet to be proven. If you believe all four Tiger Backs get carries in every game, then it stands to reason their could be a wide variance in carries, like last year with Hill and Magee or they could be very close like the guys were bunched up in 2011.

I hope Fournette shows he can carry the load. But, this is led miles. #18 will play a bunch.

You obviously have not followed LF in the recruiting process...

Miles doesn't consider who the fan favorite is or what the Rant thinks, so the back that brings the most to the table will get the most touches if Miles follows his past pattern of dealing with these kinds of issues. I think that is Fournette.

The same reason many men lust after other women even though they have a beautiful, great woman at their side.

They always think the new one is going to be better.

I have watched a lot of your predictions die on the vine. Still smiling bout the one which had Hill going to prison and never playing another down for LSU just last yr.

If you throw out enough crap, some is bound to stick, huh.

LSU will probably play 4 RBs. It will not be surprising if a newbe get less than 10. Also doesn't mean anything as far as what he might get later in the yr.

I don't assume it although I'm excited to see LF play. I realize he hasn't played a down of CFB but still exciting to see what he will be.

Magee and Hilliard are really great RBs and if LF surpasses them it is because he is better. Didn't Magee make some comments about him being a great RB?

In Les Miles and Cam Cameron I trust.

All in the first page of the "what will headline read on Aug 31" thread.

Now find posts that actually stay he's going to receive more touches?

Two years ago, Gordon had 9 carries in the bowl game, they went for over 216 yards and a TD. James White had 15 carries and a catch for 131 yards and 4 TDs. Montee Ball had 21 carries for 202 yards and 3 TDs. Just because somebody said (not seriously) that he'd have a bunch of yardage and multiple TDs, it doesn't mean they think he'll get a bunch of carries. That is not the same thing.

On another note, you know these people aren't being serious, so stop grabbing obvious exaggerations just to try and prove a point that was never a smart one.
