How do you explain the origin of the various human races scientifically?

You got Europeans, Middle-easterns, Indian, Native Americans, South Americans, Far Eastern, Mongolians, Aboriginals and Africans, etc. These groups while human are so different. If we had been evolving for so long wouldn't there be a dominant race by now or at least much more uniformity? It just seems strange that there are so many different races of one species and they are so different in appearance. How do we explain this scientifically? (The same could said for dogs and other species but I wanted to hear the answer for humans.)

See race as different breeds, like for dogs.

Instead of humans controlling how a dog looks, consider the environment and hooking up with what you find attractive being what determines what breed your kids will be.

There are only 3 different "races": Mongoloid, Caucasoid, and Negroid.

And the answer to your question is: Evolution.

Don't know...however,

Jews have the highest intelligent quotient out of all races followed by Indian.

Caucasian makes the setpoint at 100

Not doing the rest lol (IQ is subjective)...saw this on the science channel a while back

you say this but in the past like 400 years or so, we have seen one race emerge (the latino/hispanic race)

it doesn't take THAT long

I believe that the explanation can be traced back to the Bible, and Noah's three sons: Ham, Shem, and Japheth. I think I spelled their names correctly, but anyway. If I remember correctly, Ham is the father of the African nation, Japheth is the father of the Caucasian/European nation, and Shem is the father of the Asian nation.

All races/nationalities can be traced to these three men. Native Americans originally came from Asia, so they are the descendants of Shem. Hispanic/Latino peoples of Central and South America are a mixture of Asian/European, being descendants of indigenous Americans and Spanish/Portuguese.

So that's how the races came to be, from the three sons of Noah. Because, Noah and his family were the only surviving humans after the Great Flood, so they repopulated the Earth. I know everyone will not agree with this, but this is what I believe. I hope it helped answer your question!

Dogs have been bred to foster variously different traits (compared to the original "wolf" appearance). Human have predominantly bred within their own race.

One day there will be only one race and everyone will be a darker shade of beige.

Don't get too hung up on appearance. We're really not that different at all.

Two randomly chosen Koreans may be genetically as different as a Korean and an Italian. Any ethnic group contains 85% of the human genetic diversity of the world. Genetic data shows that no matter how population groups are defined, two people from the same population group are about as different from each other as two people from any two different population groups.
