i'll give tuba that he's consistent with this and the Perry thing. he truly believes that what people did in the past should not be held against against them when dealing with current events.

Do you really think Crimestoppers on the local news is a bad thing?? They show videos like that every single day

Now you are really starting to show your stupidity.
Worse than just stupid, S. Just like the educational powers-that-be censor the FACT that many Blacks OWNED SLAVES...it's the same with this. So damn strange that if the information WERE disseminated...it would dissipate racial antipathy. Makes on wonder just who is behind the curtain?

Some of you are missing the point. The activists, the protestors, the media etc are not sticking to courtroom standards in this debate going on, so stuff like his past is relevant in the current discussion. I know double standards are the mother's milk of liberalism but a hearty frick you to anyone that wants one side of the debate to stick to one set rules while the other side runs fricking wild.

Sure.

solid point.
if somebody said on a bullhorn "hey, turns out this dude yall are protesting for robbed a store, did pot, and was a convicted murderer," i don't think they'd stop.

If this was true, wouldn't folks in the community know about it, and wouldn't the murder victims family already have run to the press with it?

Then you'd agree, the thoughtful article you posted is a smear article then, with the claims in it?

The activists say that US history is relevant, the history of law enforcement is relevant, the composition of FPD is relevant in one breath but somehow nothing regarding the history of Mije Brown is relevant?
bullshite, bullshite, bullshite.
bullshite, bullshite, bullshite.

Nothing that Brown did prior to the event gives the policeman the right to murder him. Everybody agrees with that, at least I hope they do.
But Brown's past does go to his(Brown's) state of mind as the incident unfolded.
If he had just committed a crime and a cop stopped him, it would explain why he acted the way the cops said he id. If he had harmed others prior to the event with the cop, it would also lead me to believe he was a violent person.
None of this gives anyone the license to kill, but it might go to explaining Brown's actions that day.

Victim smear campaign in full swing
Or are you referring to the gentle, innocent-as-driven-snow, college-bound 18y/o?

If Wilson is charged, his defense attorney was going to get this video out by hook or by crook. Do you remember all the trouble OJ's lawyers went through to get the Mark Furman tapes released, over the objection of the owner? Besides, what if the store owner decided to release it on his own?

This is very true.
However, this is very effective combating the emotional arguments that he was some angelic child who was summarily executed by the police while on his way to bring ice cream to the elderly at the local retirement home.

No. No it's not. It dispells the myth of this big fellow being a "gentle giant."

He's just trying to be a contrarian and get a rise out of you all. Just ignore him and he'll go away.
