The ferguson cop killed this guy in complete cold blood in front of these witnesses, without being provoked?

there are two stories right now

1: the cop just shot this kid for no reason

2: this kid decided I'm gonna grab a cops gun in a car

both of them are fricking crazy
that just not how normal people act

No.

BUT

In high stress situations, people do dumb things sometimes.

This case could very well be a justified shooting due to fighting over the officers gun.

Or

it could be a justified shooting that turned into a bad shooting because the officer failed to stop once the threat ended.

Bottom line is you have to wait until the investigation is over to make that determination.

Facts should always come before our determination of events.

Highly doubtful, but I don't know most of the facts surrounding the case. Whenever someone who's armed kills someone who's unarmed, however, scrutiny is to be expected. I hope a clear resolution can be reached one way or another.

Certainly I believe it's possible. How can you witness daily the behavior of cops in this country and not think it's a possibility? Look at the story I linked yesterday from the very same Ferguson PD which shows them to have the capability for extreme dishonesty and violence.

Considering all of the white people who've been shot under similar circumstances, yes, I do believe it.

It's about abuse of power, not racism, and we've seen a lot of it lately.

No, the question that needs to be answered is how far his use of force went in the matter.

Pro-Brown witnesses claiming he shot him while he was running away and surrendering

Pro-Darren friends claim that Brown initially ran away and then turned back to confront the officer and kept coming. There is second hand audio immediately after the shooting in which 2 witnesses give credence to this.

No, of course not, but I do believe he shot that guy in a non-self defense situation.

depends on your definition of "provoked".

We have seen more than one cop kill someone without justification. I am sure in each of those cases the cops were "provoked" some way or another.

The guy in NY that was choked to death was murdered, but he "provoked" the police by not obeying.

Google "Albequerque police shoot homeless man" and let me know if police ever shoot people with their hands up.

Hell no.

That shite only happens in the movies.

These Americans are not Civil Rights Era heroes.

I don't support their fight. They have been warned.

Glad our gutless president in on vacation.
He would make the situation worse

I honestly didn't believe either version of the story that we've heard thus far... As someone said, the truth is usually somewhere in the middle. Then someone posted a crime scene video from YouTube where an eyewitness describes the events that led up to the shooting. They actually matched the version offered by the cop's friend in the radio interview.

In the video you can see Brown on the ground, and the eyewitness says that he was fighting with the cop, ran away, then charged the cop again when his gun was drawn. Obviously others have said it went down differently. Hopefully justice will be done either way.
