Vikings are likely to be playing from behind a lot also. AP can't do everything, close though.

this is the point. His ADP right there with AJ80, Fitz, Welker. I'll take them over Patterson all day.

Guy like Deandre Hopkins as similar measurables posted over 50 receptions and 800 yards in his rookie season. He's going 5 rounds later than CP.

Saw the same shite with Dez Bryant and DT88 going into his 3rd year

They flash that kind of potential then you have to be ahead of the curve when it comes to getting a stud before other people

I do not see the value anymore. Plus, his QB will be Cassel or Bridgewater.

He may hit his ADP, but I would be surprised if he is a WR1 or even high WR2.

partially because he has a 1,500 WR in front of him.

Patterson should be THE man.

Huge risk IMO

He has all the talent but can't run a route and plays with the best RB in the NFL

people want to crown him as the next Josh Gordon but Cleveland didn't have a running back, hence why they threw so much

funny you mention the Browns. Who was their OC last year? Norv Turner. Who is now the Vikes OC? Norv Turner.

Over the past six years, only the Colts attempted more passes of at least 15 yards downfield than Norv Turner's led offenses.

If a guy as talented as Patterson is seeing 10+ targets a game, something is bound to give. He could catch half the balls thrown his way and still put up huge numbers

He put up damn near identical numbers (45-469-4) in 16 games as Dez did in 12 (45-561-6) during his rookie season.

Say he makes the similar year two jump as Dez and goes to 60-800-8. That'll put him at 190 pts which would have been around 30th WR in PPR leagues last year.

This year the ADP for 30th WR is mid-6th rd pick. Patterson's ADP is in mid 4th.

There's no value there. He'd have to double his production in year 2 (90-820-8--220 PPR pts) to justify the 4th rd price tag.

He's sitting at a $7 auction value on ESPN as of 8/12. ADP of 64 in snakes. So you're looking at mid 5th.

Of the guys going after him, there are only 2 I'd take over Patterson- Eric Decker and Golden Tate.

Would people take the following over him:

Floyd
TY Hilton
Torrey Smith
Sanders
Wright
Maclin
Colston
Boldin

etc etc. Naw. At this point, you are shopping for a flex play. Me, Im going with the upside.

If he goes for $7 in any auction league I'm in, I'll pay you $100.

ESPN has Brady at $1. Their shite is terrible this year.

I'll buy him for $7 all day, or draft him in the 6th all day. But that's not where he's going. He has a 4th rd or $20 price tag in serious leagues.

I just can't believe this guy is going in 4th.

Hate his QB, hate his team, offense goes through AP.

I don't see it. I love upside guys, bit I can't take this dude in the 4th which is where he's going.

I would rather wait and get Michael Floyd all day.

I'm im a league that gives 1pt per 25 ret yards. He was the highest scoring WR the second half last year.
He was really good even with out the return yards second half.

We had some ridiculous bonus points in our league last year. Pretty much every box was checked. So, I cant say that it will translate to every league. But he won some games for me. Lots of return yards and lots of long TDs that put up BIG numbers for me. I've thought he was special since he was at Tennessee

Yeah, he could be the most explosive player in the NFL.

These dudes just don't know. You force feed a stud like Patterson and the numbers will reflect. Poor QB play will not matter (Cassel isn't terrible; CP caught 3 of his 4 TDs from Cassel last season). AP literally has zero negative effect on CP.

Norv Turner, man. All that needs to be said

I, like everyone else who's done their research for the year, love CP this season. Turner has a lot to do with it, but CP has all the skills to live up to the hype....Also like K. Rudolph this year as well as a later round TE pick.

Based off your "system analysis" you're wrong with this one.

Smith has Kubiak, who locks into his No. 1 WR. See Andre Johnson.

Yup, but dont say that here. Let them all overdraft this guy by about 4-5 rounds.

Andre Johnson was/is arguably the best WR in the NFL and was the only WR worth a shite in Houston since he's been there. Owen Daniels is the best pass catching option Johnson ever played with.

Torrey Smith saw 137 targets last year and caught less than half of those balls (65) and was still WR22 in PPR leagues. Lived and died on deep routes. Steve Smith is there, too. I like Torrey, but unless Kubiak works him on short and intermediate routes, then IDK is he's anything more than WR2/Flex options.

Sooooo what are we saying here? Hopkins will put up similar or better numbers than CP? Pls clarify and we can go from there

Why do people keep saying this in regards to kubiak? Andre saw tons of targets because he was a dominant WR, it wasn't the system that dictated that. Torrey Smith isn't in Andre's league hence the offense isn't going to revolve around him

Eta gyno beat me to it
