Good job, Anonymous. Keep up the good work.
Well, doesn't the vacuum created by "secrecy" help to create this?
There may be several people "identified" incorrectly since the people who know for certain will not tell.
I think it is more reckless to foment more rage and possible false IDs than to say "Sam Jones is the officer involved and is under investigation"
Show me you are open and I MIGHT believe you are honest.

Exactly. I don't understand why people put so much trust in what the police say.

i completely disagree with this. The rioting mobs will burn his house down, and thats all if he and his family are lucky.
This in no way is similair to George Zimmerman or any other white on black (or vice-versa) crime because individuals represent themselves.
In this case, a police officer represents an entire police force and local government - hence the reaction we've seen.
His identity will be made public eventually as the investigation evolves, so its not like theres an attempted cover-up. I see no problem witholding until the situation calms.

Might as well release his name and photo, so the media and a certain segment of society can begin the crucifixion process.
Man, I hate what we are becoming.

by innocent people being killed I guess you mean the kid the cops shot, right?
Remains to be proven - I have no dog in this fight, but nothing has been released as to who he really is so why speculate?

if the police department would not be hiding the guy, the journalists wouldn't have done this
Said "journalists" that you mention have apparently already gotten it wrong. Why release a name and photo of some schmuck who had nothing to do with this situation? You think that is responsible?

the police department is responsible for everything else that happens here including the riots
I agree.

Do you think this is the FIRST time a black person was killed by a cop? Do you think it is the first time the "community" thought it was unjustified?
I heard "If Zimmerman is found 'not guilty' cities will burn", etc.
It is nonsense. The "we won't tell you who or what is being done" exacerbates the angst. If he would have been named, there would have been much sound and fury, signifying nothing. Al Sharpton would have marched..blah..blah.
That is it.
the SECRECY is infuriating a crowd that doesn't handle it well.
Besides, if you take the job, and discharge your weapon.....accept the responsibility.

It should have been released already.
Put him and his family into protective custody and put officers at his home.
Its going to happen sooner or later, them dragging it out is just fueling more and more anger.

ill grant you the secrecy regarding the investigation itself is problem. They have released nothing. But the identity, i think that would be borderline wreckless considering the mood on the streets at this point.
Is it probable the lack of investigative details are leading to the rioting? sure. but i dont think thats all too uncommon either. Id like to see more too.

Again, i ask...is this the FIRST time a cop has killed a black man and the "community" thought it was unjustified?
If NO:
A) How many houses of THOSE cops were burned?
B) How many of those officers had their families killed/attacked by the mobs?
silliness.

Yeah but there are death threats against the family. Maybe let them get out of Dodge, then release it....but you know that would be a circus too.
But I agree, they should have come clean initially. It's ridiculous. The cloud of secrecy likely CAUSED the death threats to the family.

Didn't the Mexican Cartel make Anon run and hide like a bitch not that long ago?

I bet it's confirmed today. Reporters are bound to be asking around that town (of 8000) to see if the anon name is legit....Hell people already know - it's just a matter of time before its leaked.

Take him and his family into protective custody. Put a unit in front of his home to prevent any damage and release the name.

Toddy is the OP, so cop is likely gay.

so you do realize youre making a gross generalization that all of these past situations were the same as this (guy was unarmed - its pretty rare), in the same neighborhood, with the same reaction/level of street violence, with the same atmosphere and level of mistrust for the police prior to the incident, etc, ignoring the possibility that things like this and the Zimmerman verdict have zero cumulative effect over time which likely raises the stakes each time something like this occurs.
Based on what ive seen so far, Id probably make the same decision.

Right now, I'd bet $500 Anon got it wrong again. Looks like the guy was a cop in a close (but not even neighboring) municipality.

It was the Zetas and no they didn't. They were going to release the names of public servants who were involved in corruption and working for other cartels and then things just died down. Were probably paid off in my opinion.

The cartel threatened to chop off heads, and Anon backed down. That's backing down...probably for a good reason.
