Hello everyone. I first want to say thank you in advance for answering my question. I am a tiger through and through. I am 82 years old and this recruiting business has passed me by. I am trying to get a handle on it. I served in the korean war and things have changed a little bit in college football.
My question. Have any top 20 Louisiana prospects for 2015 committed elsewhere?
Who is someone you consider a must get?
Sincerely,
SS

yes
1. Jerry Tillery (notre dame)
2. Daylon Charlot (alabama)
Here's a good list of the rankings of Louisiana kids
LA Composite

Tyron Johnson
Although, I don't think it's a must get as compared to Fournette was a must get.

LSU typically gets the lions share of LA prospects and that hasn't changed this year. As Duckie said Tyron Johnson is the #1 player in the state so he's someone we really are pursuing. Donte Jackson would be a great get as well.

Here's a list of the top Louisiana prospects..it's updated after a recruit commits. LINK
Tyron Johnson and Dante Jackson are some pretty big recruits in Louisiana that LSU needs to land.
Jerry Tillery is the top offensive linemen in the country and is currently committed to Notre Dame, his favorite team growing up.
Daylon Charlot is committed to Alabama. They offered him before we did, and he committed.
Derrick Dillon wants to play WR in college, but LSU offered at defensive back

Thank you duckie. Do you know why we lost out on Charlot? Dupre and Quinn and a logjam at WR?
What about Moton?

Charlot was offered by Alabama before we offered him. He's likely going to honor his commitment..I don't see him flipping to LSU.
Moton was offered by LSU a year or so ago..then got hurt. LSU wanted to reevaluate him and see how he tested/performed, and he didn't camp. Alabama liked what they saw and he committed.
Neither are big losses, especially Charlot because of our WR targets still on the board. Moton would have been nice because we aren't doing too great at D-line recruiting right now.

We lost on him because Bama offered first. He has handled his recruitment with class, so there is nothing bad I can say about the kid.

This and there are still a few question marks for him because he sat out a year.

Derrick Dillon is another name that meets your criteria. He is out of Pine High in Franklinton. He is committed to Florida. LSU offered I think, but as a DB, but he seems to want to stay on the offensive side of the ball, which is why he chose Florida. No telling if his commitment sticks though and I do not know about his recruitment with LSU anymore. It seems like that boat may have passed but I'm nowhere near as close to it all as Duckie or others.
P.S. - SS, I do believe you to be a troll. You got my hopes up and let me down...

I thought him to be a troll so I offered to let him golf with me and a few buds of mine last Friday at LSU. He did email me, I'll give him that, and I responded but never got an additional response. Gave him tee time and everything, but was a no show.

82 year olds simply don't talk like this. Don't catfish us, it's weird.

Seriously. What's to gain by pretending to be an 82 year-old man on a sports message board?

Tiger, I think it would be great help if the rant board was more respectful to. X Tigers I realize that these boys are young but I think they are still smartl enough to realize that one day they will be extigers too !
