I've been slow on my music consumption this year, but have been picking it up as of late. Here are my top 5 albums:

1. Afghan Whigs - Do to the beast
2. Claps your hands say yeah - Only run
3. Spoon -- They Want My Soul
4. Eric Church - The Outsiders
5. Foster The People - Supermodel

Your turn. If you wanna add some honorable mentions, I certainly won't object.

Is it not cool to like Jack White anymore? Because I think Lazeretto is great.

I throw my vote to War on Drugs as well. The few Spoon songs I've heard are good too, but haven't listened to entire album yet.

No order:

Native by OneRepublic
Sunshine & Whiskey by Frankie Ballard
10,000 Towns by Eli Young Band
Acoustic Mixtape by Sam Hunt

And I dunno any others ones off the top my head.

Probably Cole Swindells album, that was pretty good.

If you like country that Frankie Ballard album is incredible.

Thanks for this thread. I've been listening to War on Drugs - Lost in the Dream after seeing it on many lists in this thread. I've been loving it.

I will also say that Ray Lamontagne's Supernova has been my favorite album this year so far.

In terms of my taste, and artists I follow, I haven't been blown away yet in 2014, but I'm stoked about Jeff Tweedy's and Ryan Adam's new releases.

Band of Skulls - Himalayan
Drive-by Truckers - English Oceans
Hard Working Americans - Hard Working Americans
