Santa Fe on esplanade or Lola's right across the street.

Head to romantic Rocky & Carlos in Chalmette. Y'all can share a plate of bake macaroni and diabetes

You got to keep her expectations low. Something cheap. Go Dutch.

Good call, but tough to get in. Barcelona Tapas in the Riverbend is pretty damn good.

The food at Santa Fe is terrible. And never ever go to Lola's on a first date. The garlic...

first ever date?
go get drink at bar. odds of smashing are 50/50 in todays sloot world.
by the second date you can seal the deal 95% of the time and only spend less than $20 in the process

Wanna keep it casual and loose. Juan flying burrito on Magazine

Start at Dat Dog. If she's no good with a weiner, you'll find out quickly. Then do a NOLA brewery tour. Free beer and you can see how she handles her alcohol. If you think she's a keeper, hit up Pat Os and make sure you show her the pictures on the wall of people proposing.
Under $100, you see how she handles a weiner and alcohol, and you get a little romantic without having to be serious. Win win situation.

Agreed. If I were a single man I'd be taking every girl to CellarDoor in the CBD. The place is tailor made for getting women in the mood.

gonna have to investigate this place. Is it pricey? The Other Bar is a very underrated first date spot. Kinda hard to not have a good time in there. Never too packed, board games, and skee ball

Jesus, lot of fail in this thread.
Couple of wins. Lola, careful on the garlic if you fear that could be an issue.
I could be down with Carrollton Market.
Than you have the usual suspects. Cure, Delachaise, Bouligny.
Pass on all the other suggestions except those who said bar over restaurant on 1st date.
