I'm a Christian. I pray, although probably not as much as I should. And I never pray publicly (i.e. visibly) at a restaurant. It seems too showy to me.

Then you should sue as clearly this bigot owner was discriminating against your non-showy method of practicing religion.
You are outraged, right?

frickin A....someone out there actually gets it. Leave your religion at home or at church not in places of public business.

Why not just pray to the real heroes of the moment? The farmers, truckers, supermarkets and kitchen cooks that actually did the work to make it happen.

Wow, they really are a joke.
Anyone can get their hands on a church bulletin. Last week I gave copies of mine to two people in Gulfport because there was an event on the calendar they might have been interested in attending.
Of course, their name gives it away--freedom FROM religion, not freedom OF religion. In other words, they define "freedom" as the suppression of anything that they don't like.

If money is speech, how is this not a violation of the restaurant owner's freedom of speech to promote prayer in THEIR private place of business?

Leave your free speech at home as well then.

I knew there was a reason I didn't like doing that. I just didn't know what it was.
Thanks.

I've never seen someone make a scene as they said a prayer before their meal. In fact you probably don't notice those who do it unless you're looking at them as they sit down.

People like you don't deserve to live in a free society. I bet you think the Constitution backs you on this bigoted belief too, huh?

who would you be praying to?
I've posted the definition of pray like 5 times in this thread. It really isn't that difficult.
You DO NOT have to pray to anyone. You can also pray to anyone. It does not have to be a god.

oh man the irony
im the one championing the virtues of non discrimination in any public venue while apparently you think its acceptable in the name of fantasyland and fairytales.
the aclu would probably favor my position over yours so....and they exist to solely protect the bill of rights so im pretty sure your question was rhetorical nonsense.

No shite.
The ACLU and liberals hate and despise economic and personal freedom of association because freedom involves people doing shite they hate while not hurting anybody or stealing anything.
Freedom isn't just for people doing stuff you like.
