No Shoulders Strikes Again
They are just misunderstood. Expect the rat populations to go up in the park.

HOOVER, Ala. – Authorities say a 6-year-old girl was taken to a hospital after she was bitten by a venomous copperhead snake at a park in Hoover.

Has anybody here ever claimed that a venomous snake wouldn't bite a person? Not I. Do you know what other wild animals will bite you if you step on them or corner them? Most of them. Kids stick paperclips in electrical outlets all the time. We still use electricity. Dogs kill and maul children. We all still love dogs.
Here's the thing. You don't have to allow venomous snakes in your yard or where children are likely to be. But, why are y'all so scared of them, really? Do you kill all the bears you see when you visit the smokies? No, you just respect that they can frick you up, and leave them alone. Then you go show your friends the cool photo you got of the bear. I don't understand the snake difference. I suspect it's just because it's been ingrained into you and you refuse to think any other way.

I was.
On a sorta-related note -----> I was told today that State Senator Robert Adley was bitten by a water moccasin a few days ago. (The incident was apparently mentioned in the BR Advocate two days ago.)

I'm with ya on this one people give me shite because I won't kill a rattlesnake unless he is big enough to eat.

I had a water moccasin inside the pool screen last weekend. My first thought was to open the door and let him out. But, then my snake hate took over and I pinned him down and chopped his head off.

Because they are giant pussies.

I hope no one ever gets bit by a snake but you

I will not go out of my way to kill a snake. I will though, panic and stand there scared shitless. Then run in and hope it goes away.
