Where do you live? I bought a 6er last night at Calandros.

When I was there last night, the beer guy said they were getting 15 new beers today. Going to stop by around 4pm.

I was out at Calandro's monday and they didn't have it. Must have been in the recent shipment.

Steins had the 12 packs as of yesterday, passed on it though. $30 price tag and the poor reviews swayed me.

I am pretty sure NOLA is dry of them. I know Dan got 6 and Elio's had about the same. That's not a lot to go around.

If you want stuff like that, talk to the people that sell you beer. Get to know them. You don't have to spend a grand a week in a store for them to remember you. Stop in once a week or so, grab a bottle or two, and just talk to them. I genuinely like the people that sell here, so I enjoy BSing with them. Sometimes it means I luck into a hot bottle or two. But either way, I've lost nothing.

Post what they have. I picked up a sixer of Terrapin Hi-5 a little while ago, don't know if that's new.

He mentioned pumpkin stuff, which is so not my thing, but I'm sure all 15 aren't that I'll let you know. Hopefully they're already unpacked and out on shelves when I get there.

Damn, $30 a 12 pack is high. Don't think I have any interest at that price.

Never were anything but shite and continue to be. It seems we have scream, cajole, and bribe-or else bootleg to get anything beyond what the masses swill. Sick of it.

I didn't pay $30 at Elio's or Stein's.

In the last year we've gotten Founders, Terrapin, Sweet Water, a handful of MS breweries, and soon to pick up Lagunitas.... but yeah our distributors suck bc I'm not knee deep in parabola, heady topper, and dreadnaught.

I think I paid around $16 in San Francisco, where City Beer had 12 packs stacked to the ceiling. And second the opinion on bringing your suppliers back home some beers from your travels and trades. Ask ut where he sits on a certain VIP list after some West Coast swill made it back to Baton Rouge.

I agree that it has improved. But anytime I want something else, I get the "distributor" excuse.

People forget what the shelves looked like three years ago.

Once we get Firestone Walker, Ballast Point, Bell's, and Victory...

I would also like to get more offerings from them. Some breakfast stout when it's available, and enough in the area, would be money.

I wouldn't need to mule anything in anymore if we get those. I've recently had a couple Victory brews and they are great.
