The lawsuit was filed before Kyle died & even he admitted to fabrications in the book under oath. After he died Jesse Ventura was fighting the estate that profited from the lie & to simply clear his name.

Kyle was alive when Ventura sued him.

You drop it after that..You move on...Unless Ventura is strapped for cash, he should have let this go...

Is he? That's a serious question because I really don't know a lot about him outside of the political arena. Would you care to expound on this fact?
He is mainly just an annoying crackpot, conspiracy theorist guy who essentially just trolls America by making absurd comments. It is pretty shitty to go after a dead man and his widow. Whether or not Jesse Ventura is a great family man and just uses all of this as a persona like in wrestling, I have no idea, but he has never given me a reason to like him.
Edit: Evidently the lawsuit was filed before Kyle died, but I dunno, if it was me, I would have dropped it after he passed. Just my opinion.

Does this mean that Conspiracy Theory is coming back?

Knee jerk and emotional response is yes. After all he did sue a dead man and his widow and is taking food out of their children's mouths. Never mind that when he filed suit when Kyle was alive and well and asked that the passage be removed only to be denied.
Now when Kyle died maybe he should have dismissed the suit against Kyle and gone solely after the publisher. But I don't know enough about the situation to make that judgment call.

No you dont, You clear your name.
Let me ask you this, if JV made lies about Kyle, made a shite ton of money, died, and his estate was STILL making money, should Kyle have sued?

He sued a man that was alive at the time and then the suit rolled over to the estate of that man. He didn't sue a widow from what I understand. Also, I just looked it up and the estate has earned over $3MM from sales of the book and the publisher has said it would pay $500k of the $1.8MM verdict. So $1.3MM is coming from the insurance company of the estate? Also, there's a movie to be released and the estate will benefit off of that as well. I don't think anyone involved will be going hungry.

It's even worse than that because JV was a part of the UDT/SEAL fraternity. Those kinds of statements that Kyle made can ruin your stature in that community which is very important to each and every one of those men. I could very easily see the need to clear your name if, in fact, it was lies.

just to try to understand
no one should ever sue
1. a service or former service member
2. a deceased person's estate
because it looks bad
correct?

No law enforcement , local news nor family/friends of the supposed carjackers Kyle supposedly gunned down in 2009 have come forward to verify his claim.
Are you implying that he murdered two people that were helplessly standing by or he neutralized a situation and prevented two people from robbing him, because that's a big frickin difference.
