Most common age for my name: 4 years
Fraction: 1 in 267 people
ETA: wow. That fraction was for only 2013 births. The fraction for the total population is even less (.031%).

My name broke into the top 100 in 1971 and was at its peak (11) right when I was born
no wonder there's so many people my age with the same name

Apparently my name was one of the most popular in the 40s and the 50's. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

Saw a study that indicated kids with common names were more likely to be accepted among their peers and not ostracized.
Read up on popular names before y'all's next bambino and pick # 1 even if its lame sounding now!

I used to hate my name because it was different, especially back then. Today, however, women love it.

Gary became popular after the rise of Gary Cooper in the late 20s.
A few years later Lance became popular, I don't know why. It seems to have faded though.
Shirley was a last name that shot through the roof with the amazing popularity of Shirley Temple. But it also seems to have faded.

My name peaked at 41 the year before I was born and held that position in my birthyear and then started to decline, and plummeted around the turn of the century.

My kids will have names that have been popular since the dawn of time All these people naming their kids Bralyn and Aiden so trashy.
This.
I feel bad for the coming wave of guys (especially) who have those baby names. "Hi, I'm Colton, here for the management position". Talk about a bad first impression. That's IF his resume didn't end up in the trash first.

My youngest son's name has been on an upswing lately but my oldest son's name has never been "popular", never ranking higher than 244

My name was at its highest popularity right before I was born. Been on the decline ever since. But I don't know many people with my name.

Scruffy's name has decreased in popularity a CRAPLOAD over the past 100 years.
Used to be very popular.
Screw you guys. Scruffy is now special.![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconbanana1.gif)

That's such a stupid thing to worry about. I hope you don't make hiring decisions because eliminating potential candidates for something they can't control is insane.

I'm just saying, for my kids, there won't be any "cute" "adorable" naming.

My name was very popular the year I was born.
Don't see a ton of young girls with that name anymore.
