Wrong.
Any Jew will tell you that being a Jew is more than adhering to the religion of Judaism. Jews are a Semitic ethnicity, and Israel's right of return requires a certain percentage of matrilineal Jewish/Semitic heritage.

Egypt, Palestine, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, ect are all backed by the U.S. as well. Much of Hamas's arsenal is purchased via U.S. foreign aid money. America has been double dealing in this conflict for generations, playing both sides.

Would it surprise you to know that there were Jews in Europe during the holocaust that could have saved many from death, but instead chose to allow millions to die because they gave Zionism a greater priority than that of saving Jews from the death chambers?
Basically, it was a death panel where the old and sick were eliminated. They weren't used as human shields as Hamas has done, but they essentially were condemned to death because the cause of Zionism was greater than that of the individual Jew. It was sacrificial.
This is just one case.
With that said, you are referencing the Holocaust from the 40's. We're about 70 years past that point in time, and many of those people have died off, so I honestly don't think it is relevant to this discussion.
I don't think the government or the people of Israel are perfect, but if I have to choose a side, I'd prefer to support the sinners who are defending their land and their people than the sinners who are using their people as shields. That's just my standard, though.

The "human shield" defense is just Israeli spin to justify collective punishment and the massacre of civilians. In 2006, Israel bombed Lebanese population centers in the north, despite the fact that they knew all of Hezbollah fighers were in the south. Yesterday, a New York Rabbi summed Israeli philosophy regarding civilians in a nutshell.
