For all the post about me going to fight for less restrictions, There aren't quite enough of them as we are now. The smaller companies get away with a lot more. Not much can say or do though and they pay the same fees as me and yellow cab do so he doesn't sting as bad.

So dick, when are you going to pick up your Uber phone? You sound like a good candidate besides the bama fan part. Your personal vehicle a 4 door? I want you to be able to continue in your choosen profession.

Cabs will still be around, just like buses. Of course, your rates will drop dramatically.

People with money will be on Uber.

You should be happy; you'll still never have to wash or maintain your filthy cabs. You probably won't have to spend all that money repairing those always-broken credit card machines, either.

It's over, and anybody with a lick of business sense knows it.

Not according to my receipts

The taxi problem in baton rouge as everyone claims that is prob 20% yellow cab fault and 80% public. I drive for yellow cab and let me tell ya I waste more time going to pick someone up who called for a cab but went back in the bar and didn't hear their phone ringing.

Please. You simply can't get a cab in a reasonable amount of time in Baton Rouge

Only time this really gets tricky is between 1:30-2:00 everyone seems to need a cab at this time.

No shite?

After doing some research it does seen like driving for Uber really sucks unless you're in a giant city.

If Uber covered gas it would be a better job.

It sounds like a lot of work for a small payout as it currently stands.

No, it's not.

I've been on dozens of Uber rides that cost me total less than $5.

Uber gets 20% of fares for doing absolutely nothing besides have an app. It's maybe the easiest money making scheme ever.

Exactly. A new more efficient business develops and the old one clings on as long as possible. In the end the better concept or model ALWAYS wins.

Yup, this is from last night!

Yellow cab is $4.00 start $2.00 mile and $.25 a min

This same trip with Yellow Cab would have been $7.50 PLUS you would have to tip!

For doing absolutely nothing besides providing the platform?
