No one has ever seen domination like Tiger in 2000.
People were saying 20+ majors.
Point is, shite changes. Injuries happen, major life events happen, etc.
Rory doesn't seem to be a headcase like Tiger and has insane talent, but it is just incredibly hard to sustain a level of dominance for so long.
and FWIW,
I could definitely see this as being realistic.

and FWIW,

2 US Opens
3 PGA's
3 British
2 Masters
10. Will be a top 5 player all-time by the time he's done.

9 or 10 sounds about right.

I'm going to go with 9.
2 Masters, 2 US Opens, 1 British Open, 4 PGAs
I feel like he could easily win more than one Open Championship, but I feel like this one has had almost no wind and that helps Rory because of his high ball flight. I feel like he has the potential to win 15, but I'm not sure how his swing and distance will hold up later into his career. He works out like crazy and has tremendous torque on his swing, but who knows if that will hold up when he is 35-40. Could easily have injury problems just like Tiger.

To inconsistent in my opinion. I don't know how the guy dominates fields like this and looks so out of control at others. He does tend to step up in majors though.
My thoughts exactly. It's strange

Kind of like Phil? Especially early Phil?

misses too many cuts and doesn't have a "b" gamwe... the weather at this open is benign ... does he have the game/shots to win in multiple conditions? ... i don't see it at this point, so he's a 10 major kind of player, as others said ...

no, Phil would win, just not majors. Rory either has his dominant game or doesn't compete. He doesnt seem to compete when his dominant stuff isnt there

He's played 80 Tour events and missed 10 cuts.
I wouldn't call 10 too many.

Now that legal troubles and that goofy chick are finished who knows. If he stays away from the crazies maybe 10 more in the next 10 years.

What's a 10 kind of major player? What is that?

better than someone who wins 9 but not good enough to win 11? ...

But only 3 players have 10 or more. So I don't get what you are trying to say.
