Baton Rouge has federal (Housing Authority) housing spread all over BR.

You'd be suprised if you knew how many people in BR are living the "free" life.

1. build a loop
2. emminent domain house and properties to make a true traffic gird
3. build a dueling/ shoothouse park so that gangbangers, husbands that catch their wife in bed with another man, etc can have a place to kill the person that offended them without outside violence.
4. require a dress code if you are going to be out in public
5. legailze cocaine and hookers

1. Return to neighborhood public schools.

2. Build the northern bypass

3. Close Washington street exit on i10

4. Create expressways for Airline, Florida (east of Foster), and Nicholson (south of brightside)

5. Increase BRPD funding for community policing in areas needed.

6. Use eminent domain for Valley Park and build office parks and residential development

Branch off I-110 somewhere around Evangeline and form an inner city loop by going out toward central and tying in back ti I-12 Somewhere between Sherwood and Amite River.

Bypass B.R. by Connecting I-10 at Sorrento to Lobdell crossing the river near Plaquemine.

DOTD estimated project completion date: March 10th, 2072.

- go on a street connecting spree, not afraid to exercise eminent domain in attempt to develop a competent street grid
- more sidewalks and bike lanes
- southern loop with new bridge
- moratorium on widening of streets (get away from the collector street concept)

Agreed. Eminent Domain is critical to gentrification, especially between LSU and downtown. It's messy, it's not right, but it's the only way long term. Low income areas need to be taken away or simply priced out to the point where they leave.

You'd know about being a terrible poster. Any reason you picked that particular post to say that to though?

I don't disagree with your assertion, but:

BRPD is more concerned about logging OT after LSU games and inspection sticker checkpoints than fighting crime. Throwing money at a problem, to be further wasted, won't solve the issue.

Your valid point could have been addressed with current resources and budgets, IMO.

So I'm a terrible poster for pointing out blatant racism? I'm OK with that.

Any chance we can get back on topic?

Is it racism when assertions are backed up by statistics? Or are we simply not allowed to hold communities accountable anymore?
