Well we learned the hard way that you guys are way more experienced at playing on Thursday than us.
Yeah, this was pretty good :)

I know as "hated enemies" I shouldn't admit this, but I enjoyed watching y'all crush Chelsea today way more than I enjoyed watching Arsenal lately. Not changing allegiances, but it's a bit depressing. Congrats on the fantastic result.

I know that today was awesome, but we have gone through some TOUGH times post-Bale. And even this season was full of awful until recently. Feels good right now. I'm going to enjoy it.

I remember specifically trolling the shite out of the SECr that night.
I was trying to find an Oregon thread I started and that popped up.

These past few weeks have been fun the boys seem to have really bought into Poch's system and it's paying off.
After I sobered up and took off my lily white glasses I watched that penalty called against Debuchy vs QPR and he definitely got ball first

Congrats, that had to be fun to watch.
Hopefully it lights a fire back up under our asses.

A replay is definitely what we DID NOT need

We now have two games per week for the next month. Hopefully, the team can hold it together.
I want to take some time to address the Gareth Bale 7 again. The outlook is better for some after more time at Spurs.
Eriksen - steal. He was the first to show his worth, and he continues to do so.
Lamela - much better this year, but he still has lots of work to do. We probably paid too much.
Soldado - bust
Chiriches - he has been serviceable. We will probably end up selling him for the same or a profit.
Paulinho - bust
Capoue - clearly has talent, but he seems to be a locker room cancer. Overall bust
Chadli - This guy has been awesome for us this year. One of our Top 4 players with Kane, Hugo, and Eriksen.
Overall, that isn't nearly as bad as people thought initially. Two of the signing have been incredible with a chance for a third to really pan out. At this point, Soldado and Paulinho were a huge waste, but I think we made it up with the low prices on the rest, the rise of Kane, and the solid transfer of Fazio.

Hopefully we can drop a bit of dead weight this transfer window and pick up a player or 2 that can contribute in some form or fashion.

The winter window tends to be more expensive, so Levy isn't a fan. I'd love to dump Soldado and Adebayor. Add a solid striker on top of that, and we are gold. As fun as this season has been, we basically play like shite if Kane isn't on the field. He can't play every game, especially with this crazy run coming up.

I'm torn on what to do... My mind says throw the FA cup game, but my heart says no, no, no. We need 6 points in our next 2 PL matches (which should put us into 4th). Then hopefully put the Sheffield tie away in the first leg so we can rest some starters ahead of the West Brom game. With the draw we got I think the club will go all in for the Capitalone Cup (as we should IMO). I think we should just not put to much weight in the FA Cup. A CL spot is much more important... We need to go into the Gooner game in 4th.
We have to get a striker!

I say play a team of back-ups at home in the FA Cup. We could still win with our squad depth. I would keep Lloris in there in hopes of him going hero mode.
Lloris
Chiriches - Dier - Kaboul - Davies
Capoue - Paulinho
Stambouli
Townsend - Lennon
Soldado
We could feasibly win with that group.

That's exactly what I would like to see... It gives the starters a physical and mental break. However, I do not think this will happen and we will end up dropping one of our next 3 PL matches (@CP, Sun, @WB). Which IMO may cost us CL. Basically, I think whoever is leading after our match with Arsenal will be in the drivers seat for the last CL spot.
