From Reddit

I'm a med student working in the ICU. This patient came to us with "abdominal pain."
Answer: Impacted fecal ball measuring 13.2cm at maximum. It took surgeons 3 hours and 5 liters of saline to flush the thing out. Patient feels better though!
How many Kourics do you think it was?

Shouldn't posting someone's xrays to message boards be frowned upon?

Happens to old people and people addicted to opiates.

I've seen worse. The cadaver I dissected in med school had an impaction the size of a football.

Randy Marsh laughs at that.

The image doesn't identify the patient so that's a plus. Academic hospitals typically have the patients sign a waiver allowing their images to be used for academic conferences and lectures. That said, I'm sure the med school would frown on posting images to Reddit.

That's a bunch of shite.
I got a buddy that's had to have something like that done.
He said they basically pressure washed his insides.
He had a head injury years ago playing Bball and the seizure medicine he takes must interfere with things.

Happened to my mom once after she had a stroke. Softball sized amount impacted her colon. It was manually worked out as well. That nurse was awesome!
