This is Baton Rouge, and even worse, next to campus. Traffic will adjust to be a permanent and dislodgeable clusterf&%k.

I don't go by this area often, but wasn't this already a permanent and dislodgeable clusterfrick?

But that wouldn't solve the problem of having 3 stop lights right next to each other on Burbank, which just slows down the flow on Burbank.

Taking out the light at Jennifer Jean might have been slightly better, except that you have people going to and coming from Tigerland that way, who would still try to make lefts with no light.

The distance between lights might have played a role in which light to remove also.

Yup. And introducing a new dynamic without any heads up or explanation of how it's supposed to work is the worst thing they could have done.

Yeah couldn't have been there that long because it wasn't that long ago I dropped off some clothes at that laundry place while running the lakes and don't remember the sonic

Agreed. However, it was bad before, this will make it much much worse. It's like dropping an atom bomb on a dumpster fire.

Why couldn't they just synchronize the lights during the day and put them on the car weighing mode after 8pm?

I still have no idea how traffic engineers think synchronizing lights works. More often than not, they all turn green at the same time keeping it backed up. Furthest goes green first, then middle, then closest. That way the last cars don't catch up to the middle cars and hit the brakes when they do. Stop the closest first, then middle, then furthest. They're all moving at the same time, and people turning have room to get into the actual lanes instead of blocking them all.

Crazy idea, but it might work

If you fix E Boyd, why do you need lights at West Parker and Jennifer Jean? West Parker wasn't used a whole bunch when I was there. Granted there was no light.

Yes. So now it's going to force drivers to avoid the areas instead of hoping and praying that e Boyd isn't backed up.

It really is nothing different than it currently is...just forcing people to make the logical decision.
