i know i'm avoiding the question, but do any of the old-timers here remember an EP called 'star fleet project'? it had brian may & eddie van halen playing together, with alan gratzer on drums, phil chen on bass, and fred mandell on keys. they were basically just jamming & fricking around for a few songs, nothing really ambitious....anyway, i would've liked to have heard a "proper" album by this lineup, 'cuz i'm sure it would've been interesting.
Yes, I had it. I remember Eric Clapton commented how awful "Blues Breaker" was, saying neither Brian nor Eddie knew how to play the blues. The sad/funny part about this is that the track was dedicated to Clapton because they were both big fans.

Dax Riggs - vocals/guitar
Jimmy Chamberlain (former smashing pumpkins) - drums
Juan Aldrete (mars volta) - Bass
J Mascis (dinosaur jr) - guitar
Geoff Barrow (portishead) - keyboard/synth/rhodes
I don't know if they'd be any good, but I doubt it would be boring![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

Omar Rodriguez Lopez (The Mars Volta)- guitar
Jenny Lee Lindberg (Warpaint)- bass
Carla Azar (Autolux)- drums
Matt Berninger (The National)- vocals
Optional replacements to the above:
Justin Hawkins (The Darkness)- vocals
Steven Adler (Guns N' Roses)- drums
Michael Stipe (R.E.M.)- vocals
I don't know. I suck at this.
