McNair was shot and killed by his 20-year-old girlfriend, Sahel Kazemi, in a murder-suicide on July 4, 2009. McNair -- just two years removed from an NFL field -- was 36 years old.

McNair was a three-time Pro Bowl quarterback who played for the Houston Oilers, Tennessee Titans and Baltimore Ravens. An imposing figure that could make plays with his arms and legs, McNair was a prototype for QBs that followed. McNair is one of the few quarterbacks in memory who could inspire fear in a safety when he lowered his shoulder.

Here is the TD Thread from then

Always had huge respect for him on and off the field

Really bothered me when I heard about it. It's stupid things like this happen.

That's one of those stories that will always make me shake my head. Terrible way for a married man with a great reputation to go, on a holiday no less. Will always feel bad for his family for the legacy he left.

when i was younger the titans were my favorite team to watch (before i knew any better, lol) him and mason were lethal and rolle was a beast in the secondary. i remember when i was like 7/8 nfl 2k5 was my first ever game i had on ps2 and i would throw bombs to mason every play (hail mary was the only play i understood lol) and make my brothers/dad rage.. haha, good times.

I remember watching Alcorn State on tv in junior high (some MS channel always aired SWAC games every Sat. morning) and was amazed at the passes he was throwing, thought this guy was pretty badass. RIP Air McNair!

In my level 2 pga I had a kicker who tried out for the titans. He told a great story.

Del Greko or however u spell it was in the locker room with him and told him not to look at McNairs penis because it was huge and u would stare. Right after he said that McNair walked out the shower into locker room with his towel in hand. He said he looked down and that thing was huge. He couldn't stop staring. McNair walked up to him laughed and said What's up kicker? And then walked away. Dude was cut a week later. lol.
