Tomorrow I'm leaving for a 3-day trip to New Orleans, and I'm trying to narrow down our food selections. This is our list:
Ralph's on the Park
Sobou
EAT
La Petite Grocery
Peche
Coop's Place
Barcadia
Herbsaint
Of all of these, the only ones I've been to before are Peche and Coop's.
Thoughts? Suggestions?

I'd skip Barcadia and hit Bacchanal instead.
Don't forget the fried green tomatoes at EAT. Best I've had. Also don't forget to grab a bottle of vino.

I'd agree if you don't like burgers. If you're a burger fan, then definitely don't skip Barcadia and get the shroom and swiss with caramelized onions and praline bacon.

My wife chose one restaurant on the list. Guess which one?

Better get your reservation in today for Peche unless you don't mind eating at 10

Curious as to why you would return to Coop's on a food trip.
I'd skip several of those and add Cochon Butcher if you're looking to include a casual joint.

Hit up Peche mid afternoon.

I like Coops. I've only been once, and I had some sort of sampler plate that was legit. I saw some lamb ribs on the menu that sounded intriguing.
I've been to Butcher before, but we do already have two Link places on the list...

Sobou is worth grabbing a cocktail at but I wouldn't bother eating there.
LPG is a solid place, but Coquette has a similar feel with better food. IMO
Herbsaint is a gem and worth checking out.
Check the menu at Mariza, one of the better new places in town. Could grab a bite then head to Bacchanal as others suggested.

Peche, Herbsaint, and LPG are the only places on that list I'd do. Maybe SoBou for drinks.
Bacchanal and Mariza are great suggestions.

My biggest problem is that I have 5 possible lunch destinations and I only need 3. Which 3 of these 5 would you choose?
EAT
Herbsaint
Ralph's on the Park
SoBou
La Petite Grocery
We will have our 5-year old with us so that's why I'm not leaning towards a place like Bacchanal.

I showed my wife all of the online lunch menus, and she chose EAT, Ralph's, and Herbsaint. Barcadia and Peche for dinner.

i agree with this. had great meals at hte first two and sobou was over rated. my buddy got the 26$ burger which was of course a huge disappointment. Would be a cool spot for a drink then walk somewhere else to eat

Does not compute. But that's just, like my opinion,.
