Well, Nora got herself a baby.
let me just put that scene in context
as they arrive home, garner sees his new girlfriend (who he has to know had to hang out with fake copies of her entire family all fricking day), chilling on his front porch with a black baby. so many questions should be running through his head

I thought the same thing. By the time he walked up, she was already holding the baby. For all he knew, she was freaked out by the dummies left in her house, so she stole a baby from someone and showed up at his doorstep.

Stuck with this show from the beginning, glad I did. Was talking to a buddy of mine this weekend and him and his wife watched the first two episodes and recorded the rest. I told him Ep 3 is where this show really kicks in and that he was missing out on a good series. They'll catch up.
Loved the ending but I don't think that Garvey is getting his entire family back. The way Tom dumped the kid off on his dad's doorstep and then went to his mom, kinda makes me think Kevin, Nora, Jill, and the baby will become a family unit, and Tom will join Laurie and the GR. Did notice how Jill still hasn't said a word since joining the GR, so maybe she is still GR crazy too, but she did go with her dad, not her mom. It was her dad that risked his life to save her, maybe that act changes everything between them for the good.
Also, Laurie is a freaking nutjob. If the GR is the answer than why don't you want your own daughter a part of it, told her to go home? Reason is she knows the GR lifestyle is wrong and she doesn't want it for her daughter. Then she struggled to break her silence in order to save her own daughter's life.
Finally, at first I thought Nora was writing a suicide note until she said she was too much of coward to take her own life. I think she was just going to take off and leave Kevin, not because she didn't love him but because she didn't want to connect with anyone again so she could never feel loss again. Finding the baby on the porch gave her a purpose in life, a responsibility, a reason to live life again. My take away from the ending is she stays with Kevin now.

I agree. That scene with Holy Wayne was awesome! The look on his face, just acted wonderfully.
My first instinct was he wished for his family back. Then, I thought he might have wished for the GR to "go away". Then, I thought he might have asked for his sanity back. I am still unsure of his wish since we know that Holy Wayne makes things happen.
I really liked the entire series, liked how last weeks episode could/should have been the very first one in the entire series.
Questions I still have:
His wish, although I still believe it was for his family?
What happened/who is the guy who killed the dogs?
We know the baby is Holy Waynes, will he be a significant presence?
What will become of the GR, which will be answered next season.

I really hate the GR. I loved when they were getting their asses kicked after what they did.
And Liv Tyler's character is the worst. Her snapping her fingers at Laurie, for some reason, really pissed me off.

More proof on the Holy Wayne legitimacy
Wayne (literally through the hug) took Nora's pain away, which seemed to work. But, after the final stunt by the GR, Nora believed it was fake and she had to leave (we're led to believe suicide was possible, but then that was averted with all the "I'm a coward" stuff).
Well, juts as Nora's pain has returned, and she is about to act on it.......HOLY WAYNE's (now motherless) child is thrust into Nora's life......to take away her pain.
So amazingly written.
I want more Holy Wayne.
Holy fricking hell this show is so good.

The more I think about it, maybe his wish was for his family back. His family being Jill and Nora, and now Wayne's son. Tommy was his stepson, although he tried to contact him throughout the series, but Tommy connected with his mom. So maybe, his "family" is technically together as it should be.

Yep.
I too thought she was about to off herself. It was also obvious what Kevin wished for and I really thought leading up to him saving Lori that she would come back. I knew it was a given the son was coming back so that's how I thought that would go.
But he's not getting the entire family he wanted. Just Nora and a blasian baby.

Excellent last few episodes but this show honestly had me from the start

I still have no idea what the GR's philosophy is. Can someone please help me out.

Pretty sure that they just think that everyone is moving on from the loss too quickly. Their goal is to remind people of what happened while making them as miserable as possible.
The show definitely got better as the season went along.

Just watched the finale again.
That scene with Kevin and Wayne was fricking amazing. I wish they would have shown more of Wayne throughout the season.

Wayne was awesome, and Paterson Joseph (actor that played him) was incredible.
I really hope he makes appearances in future seasons via flashback, or something maybe even supernatural-like.
Please do not ruin this with spoilers if you have info on this from the book.

You know what else I like on this show? How society has changed and it's just open season on cults. Wayne was obviously gut shot with the FBI on his trail. There were freaking normal housewives shooting down GR members in the streets. Crap grandma and grandpa were getting in on the action.

Wait. There's a book?

yes, please don't bring any of that shite back here though
Posted on 9/8/14 at 9:25 pm to DirtyMikeandtheBoys
Not much to bring back that didn't happen in the show as far as I can tell.
The show has been renewed for a second season and it appears the majority of it will have to be all new material.
