Wouldn't you guess he's about to get paid around the same as Anderson? $7-9 Million maybe?
Eta: see you edited to $10. That sounds a bit high to me but if the market is there, he could get it.

He's going to get a deal similar to Batum. Which was 4 years 44 mil.

Gosh with the crazy way that the FA market is and the money that gets thrown at young budding players, I wouldn't be surprised if Parsons got above $10 mil a year

Same here. Gerald Wallace and Ganillari make right over $10m a year. Batum is at $11m a year. Josh Smith is at $13.5m a year. I think Parsons can get anywhere from $11m - $13m a year.
I like Parsons a lot. Love his skill set.

Rumor has it Parsons is being talked about in a sign-and-trade with Minnesota (along with other assets) to get Kevin Love.
This rumor is almost as ludicrous as the OP. What other assets to the Rockets actually have?

According to Marc J. Spears from Yahoo! Sports, the Minnesota TImberwolves are interested in dealing for Chanlder Parsons as part of a Kevin Love deal should things fall apart with the Golden State Warriors and Klay Thompson.
Parsons would be involved as a sign-and-trade piece, and Minnesota would likely go after the likes of Jeremy Lin and other assets the Rockets have to make the trade happen.
-------------------------
Rockets also have that Pelicans pick, too.

Parsons, Jeremy Lin, and maybe a pick or two for Kevin Love. Yep that sure seems viable

Not really any different from Parsons and Lin, and potential lottery pick.

Both of these trades would be retarded for different reasons.
First off, the Rockets can get WAY more for Parson than just Russ Smith, unless they're that desperate to dump salary.
The TWolves trade is just ludicrous. Why in the hell would the Wolves give up for a good, not great, SF who's a RFA and will likely sign an offer sheet in 10-13 mil per range, Jeremy Linn's poison pill, and a pick that's likely to be between 15-19? That would be trade rape.
Man, having the most mentally weak player in the NBA and a SG who spends most of the game on the ground and can't play D has made all the Rocket-tards believe they're the new hot destination for every big name player.

Rockets fans aren't just making this up out of thin air.
These are reports from credible people at Yahoo and ESPN talking about Love, Melo, etc.

If the Pelicans somehow (magically) traded Eric Gordon without receiving much salary back, could we afford Asik and Parsons at around 10 million a season? Not that I think its a probable situation, just wondering because people are saying we would have to give Houston something in a sign and trade but why would we need to if we could sign him to a contract that I doubt Houston would match.

And I was mistaken... it was actually Parsons and Jones. Not Lin.

I tried to trade machine a 3 way combining a Love Asik and Gordon trade, but ESPN already lists Asik on the Pelicans roster in the trade machine

Still worse than the Boston deal they turned down and worse than the one from Golden State.
Woj said the other day that he doesn't think any sort of Kevin Love deal gets done until the season starts.
They don't want some 1 sided deal.

What is the actual reality that this trade happens? I think the Rockets would want much more than Russ Smith for Parsons.
