Nope no final exam just the same setup each week. Seemed to be an extremely easy grader and often times the assignments were graded within a couple hours of submitting

Thank you...that's good news!
Now I'm looking for someone who took BADM 790(IE) and went on the excursion to Australia last Fall...

FIN 701 (Vines)
Ended up with only 2 quantitative questions on Test 2. Last week I had 6. I spent hoursss understanding the formulas and then setting up my excel sheet in preparation for this weeks exam. Complete waste of time this go round But that's the luck of the draw I suppose.

I guess...except for all that learning you did.

quote:First mistake. Vines will even tell you to not focus too much on the math itself. Like you said, luck of the draw unfortunately. You'll know not to put too much emphasis on one side moving forward

MKT701
Still plugging away at this crazy project. There are not enough hours in the day to do a good job on this.
Not only do I need to get this thing finished up, but I have to edit it down and remove multiple pages, as I'm apparently too verbose while answering the 20 sub-questions she asks in every section.

Same here. Have a page or two to go. 20 pages of mostly repeating the same thing over and over again. There's simply no way to put good quality work in the time given it's not an established product/company with a wealth of information out there. My focus now is just completing the course. Constantly have to remind myself only 3 more weeks.
I couldn't be the only one that noticed in her "new rules" she posted last Tuesday it said "no solar panels" while her template specifically has a section that indicates solar panels.
Anyone even touched the readings this week? Going to cram Sat/Sun with the hope I can avoid taking Week 7 quiz and it being the one I drop.

No, I haven't touched them either.
I am amazed that some people on the class forum even scheduled a zoom study session for the reading yesterday. Then again, all the study tips talk about printing out the materials and taking copious notes, and who has time for that?
I'll cram this weekend when I don't have to worry about another assignment. A 200 pt project vs a 50 pt test is a no-brainer in terms of priority.
I don't mind the week 7 test, as other than ready to be done, that's really all there is that week. I'm more concerned with the week 6 test, as the project part 2 is due Monday on week 7.

Agreed mtntreks and craig_miamifl.
Writing about a fake company and a fake product creates so much bs. I feel like I'm just making stuff up and then trying to find sources to justify it. I also think my paper has too much verbiage and not enough data. We'll see. My academic coach doesn't seem to be too hard of a grader.
I was frustrated when I saw how much reading there is this week. She piled on more pages in place of an assignment. Low blow. I'm kissing my weekend goodbye.

To give you a little piece of mind, I felt the same way when I took the marketing course. It seemed like I just kept reacting the same thing over and over but I followed the template she gave and received a high A. In my opinion the academic coaches struggle just as much trying to get thru reading all papers to where they are extremely lenient when it comes to grades. Keep up the good work and it will all be over in a couple weeks.

Just got into Lin and Shaughnessy for Summer AP2. (Set up the alert through Compass to let me know when there was a spot.) Should be interesting! :)

Hi Multis10,
Thanks for the encouragement! BTW, how is part#2 compared to part#1?

Darthpasta you won't regret it.

If I remember correctly, it was a little shorter and had to deal with SWOR analysis for ours which I found a little easier. Still repetitive

@Diedaily well of course there is that lol and it actually is great information that will prove useful
@jeauxcool yea lesson learned this go round.
Halfway mark!! The finish line is in site!

RE MKT701 - The readings were rough just due to their length, the material, like most marketing stuff, isn't groundbreaking. All I do for the readings is read it once, highlight what I think is critical, then re-read just the stuff I hit with the highlighter. She also gave away 3 of the questions as tips in moodle. I didn't do as well on this one as the past couple still got a high B though.
I went pretty minimal for that project, she said you didn't need to answer all of her questions, so I took that at face value and didn't. Mine came in at the same number of pages as her template, so hope that suffices.

@fishee2 thanks for the advance report on this weeks quiz! I haven't even looked at the reading yet, but it sounds like it's the same old same old. I know people are freaking out in this class over the reading, but compared to MADM715, this is a cake walk!
The project is the big unknown for me. I'm sure I'll do fine, but it will really irk me if I get a B or C instead of an A. Mainly because the material is super easy.
This is one of the easiest classes material wise, but her project expectations are just way out there. I've spent an insane number of hours on this thing, and when all is said and done I'll have a 40+ hour pile of garbage to turn in.
At least in other classes, I felt good about the projects. I'd love to see examples from real companies instead of playing pretend.
