How is McLaughlin’s Module Six exam? Any insights? Want to know...if I get high enough of a grade, I may not have to take the last exam... :)

How was McLaughlin’s exam this week?

Anyone take McLaughlin’s first exam yet? What was it like?

Anyone have any idea? Would like to know before submitting the mini-discussion later today. (re: MADM760 McLaughlin writing assignment lengths)

What is a suggested word count or length for the writing assignments (both the mini case discussions and the longer application assignment)? Working on them now and would love to know what is expected or should be aimed for...

Pair it with Lin if you can.

LOL...
Failed the final and still ended up with a B for the course. Much was not covered on the practice exam, and there were a number of things that I don’t remember seeing covered previously. Would be lovely to know what I missed, but that’s not how they do things here...which is ridiculous IMHO.
At least I’m done.

Yikes. This does not make me feel better. Was the practice test at least fairly similar to the actual one?

Were the multiple choice problems like some that we’ve seen on the last couple of assessments? Solving a scenario and then choosing the correct answer?

What kind of notes did you have?

That makes me nervous as well. Any suggestions as to what to specifically study, prep, etc.? What kind of notes do you have on hand? How did it feel lengthwise? I know we have two hours...

I am taking him now as well (I should have clarified), and I feel the same way. He’s very straightforward and is clear on what matters.
I was hoping to find out any tips or tricks (for example, what to study, what info to have present in your notes, etc.).

To those of you who have taken Ambrosio before: any suggestions as to what to prepare or focus on for the final exam? How difficult was it?

I’ve got a C (which I’m fairly disappointed in) for the same reasons you state. Have only done the first two video quizzes in Module Five this far, so maybe I can pull it up...

Anyone take ISDS 705 Exam 2 yet? What was it like?

@baroquen
Same here...ISDS is going to be fine...but I have been out of my initial master's degree for twelve years, and while I remember a fair amount of the calculus from high school (granted, it's been over 20 years!), it's still way rusty. I at least understand the concepts...it's just difficult figuring out how to apply everything in the correct order and in the correct context. Will hopefully pull a B, but I'm at a high C at the moment. :( At least I'm learning...that's the important thing.
Graduation requirements are at least a 3.0 with only one C, correct?

Having trouble with the first question on ECON705's Module 2 assignment. Any thoughts?

Just saw this for myself...urk. (Am registered for Lin and Shaughnessy...now I may rethink taking both...)
For those of you who HAVE taken Lin in the previous (and anticipated) format, how hard is the material in and of itself? The exams? Would be curious to know your thoughts as to if doubling up might still be feasible based on exam, work material, etc. For example, in looking at the textbook (and yes, it's available to view online), are his test questions taken from the study questions at the end of each chapter? If so, that mike make the exams a bit more bearable in terms of studying and prepping...

It (MKT701) was my first class, and the takeaway for me at least was that I've gotten the heaviest and most annoying class out of the way first. Got my Part Two grade back already, and based on the grade, I think my grader just wanted to get it out of the way (not that I'm complaining at all).
Won't have to take the last test (though I'll read the material at least just to be familiar with it) to get an A for the course, so I'm happy about that at least. The overall material discussed in the course is definitely of good quality, but the project, as others have said, is just too much fluff.
Looking forward to Shaughnessy and Lin next session...will be a welcome change of pace from what I hear. :)

Same. Just submitted my Part Two...17 pages of content. Did completely fine on Part One and I felt the same way as most people commenting here.
Also, completely unmotivated as the last week and a half winds down.

That makes me feel better. :) (I have ended up with 18 pages...I just need to go back and proofread, edit, etc.)
